How do you think Beastmen feel about their non-speaking counterparts?

I haven't seen many animes where beastmen interact with their animal 'relatives'. Like how do feline and lycanthrope beatmen feel about cat and dog owners? And do horse and mule beastmen get offended seeing humans ride on horses and mules?

In Mushoku Tensei the lycanthrope beastmen get offended when Rudeus gives their sacred dog belly rubs; so is that how it is for all beastmen species?

Basically yeah. Do you feel weirded out by monkeys? Nope. If anything maybe Legoshi would find a regular wolf hilarious the same way humans view monkeys as nature's clowns.

I think it depends on the setting. For example, in RWBY, none of the faunus characters ever showed any animosity towards humans over this. There are other reasons why they hate each other, but this isn't one of them.

I mean this would obviously depend on the show. If we want to think about beastmen from a what if they existed in our reality, point of view, then they'd probably feel the same way we do about apes

Sacrificial Princess and King of Beasts spent a good bit of time on relations between different types of beast folk. A very intelligent and interesting show that was lamentably under-watched.

This is simply something that needs to be part of the world building. The people of the world would feel some kind of way based on coexisting to some extent for thousands of years. Even in Earth terms, we have strong biases about how we interact with different animals that aren't necessarily based on rational decision making, but rather our history with them. It's up to the author to decide how to handle it.

It really depends on the individual series or film in question, as just as with vampires, fairies, elves, zombies, werewolves, demons, etc., the lore and how extensively they're fleshed out differs from work to work.

I'm watching Kimi to Koete Koi ni Naru/With You Our Love Will Make It Through that's currently airing this autumn season, and that involves a very wolf-like beastperson as a main character. When asked by human peers what he thought of dogs or whether he could speak directly to them, etc. he just seemed kind of amused and slightly surprised that people would even harbor such ideas that seemed to blur the lines between the two or place them on the same level.

So from series like that or others where it's handled similarly, I get the sense that they wouldn't dislike or be offended by the existence of dogs, cats, cows, pigs, etc. (basically regular non-human animals - especially ones which frequently interact with and are owned by humans as either pets or livestock), or of people owning them. But would have a problem with people falsely associating themselves with them or seeming to equate the two.

And might be a little more sensitive and less forgiving toward cases of people visibly mistreating them, like abusive owners, so may be more naturally sympathetic to them.
