Anime character like Reze

I need anime character like Reze from Chainsaw man.
But to be exact these are the personality I’m looking for:

Reze

Ichika from Quintuplets

The only other one that I can think that might be close to it is:
Aoi Hinami from Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki

Hi Disworldz, it seems like you might be looking for new anime to watch!

The users of this subreddit came up with [a chart of anime recommendations for newcomers and veterans](https://i.redd.it/0w1v880jtq661.png) and [an awesome longer flowchart](https://i.redd.it/vdzlkodz19c71.png). Maybe you can find something there that you'll like \^.\^

Kaworu Nagisa from evangelion in terms of as soon as he shows up you know something fucked up is going to happen because he's too good to have in the show 😭

Honestly we see so little of Reze it’s kinda hard to get anyone besides maybe a bit playful and horny with a bit of a sad backstory.

Michiko from Machino to Hatchin maybe kinda?

Lore-Warden2025-12-23 21:54

That's not exact in the slightest.

Manic pixie dream girl who turns out to be a monster and is potentially sad about that is a pretty common character archetype I feel.

Nazuna from Yofukashi no Uta springs to mind. Most of the girls from Monogatari if you apply it broadly enough?

TMNAW2025-12-23 22:53

Neither of those characters are MPDGs and I have no idea why people latch onto that for Reze lately in particular

Prince_Uncharming2025-12-23 23:45

People latch onto it because most people have poor media literacy

Lore-Warden2025-12-23 23:55

I know they aren't. They're monsters that wrestle with what they are while appearing to be a MPDG in their introductions.

TMNAW2025-12-24 00:03

They don’t have the appearance of being MPDGs in the beginning either. MPDG is about a relationship between the man and woman, the latter being the quirky, bubbly love interest that reinvigorates the former’s will to live from his sadsack, colorless life.

Lore-Warden2025-12-24 00:28

And you don't see how that's Reze right up until the tongue bite?

TMNAW2025-12-24 01:04

LOL anime fans please watch a movie or read a book challenge. Anything that actually initiated the term MPDG being coined

TMNAW2025-12-23 22:55

Nazuna from Call of the Night, maybe

Disworldz2025-12-24 05:21

She is little awkward and shy compared to these characters
