Please give me a movie...
... not from Ghibli or the Kimi no Na Wa director. I have difficulties finding new ones. Doesn't have to be good or known, just stand alone. Ignore genre or preferences. I almost watch everything that is not true Hentai.
Thanks in advance!

Weird, I swear that "not" wasn't there when the post first went up. For other movies try Ghost in the Shell 1996, Redline, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, and Blood: The Last Vampire (no relation to D).
"Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop"
"Belle"
"Sing a Bit of Harmony"

My oni girl
Lonely castle in the mirror
-Memories
-Robot Carnival
-Meikyu Monogatari (also known as Neo Tokyo)
-Mamoru Oshi is mostly known for their Ghost in the Shell films (which are great), as well as Patlabor (more approachable) and Tenshi no Tamago (more open to interpretation). But you can also try The Sky Crawlers which is an overlooked yet brilliant movie.
-Tekkon Kinkreet is an interesting one, unconventional artstyle & straightforward storytelling with gorgeous backgrounds, it's visually stunning.
Another sci-fi themed trifecta from the same director can be the following (different moods and themes between them):
-Eve no Jikan
-Pale Cocoon
-Sakasama no Patema
-Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust has the gothic aesthetic of Tenshi no Tamago but goes for a vampiric setting (the old Vampire Hunter D movie has some nice qualities to it, but it's not as interesting).
-Hotori: Tada Saiwai no Koinegau is a nice film rarely talked about, so worth mentioning in case it catches your eye.
Then there's the Koike films which include four movies with an OVA leading up to the fourth one which will drop in US theaters soon. The Goemon film is a particular standout. Koike is also famous for Red Line which is fantastic.
Dead Leaves is a short film in the vein of Red Line if it was fused with TTGL' style
Crusher Joe is a great older sci-fi film
Rakuen Tsuihou is a fun film written by Gen Urobuchi with a sequel on the way after over a decade.
Yoru wa Mijikashi Arukeyo Otome is a great film set in the same universe as the author's other works, but it's standalone. Also directed by Yuasa is the amazing Edo era rock music movie Inu-Oh
Sand Land is technically a film but it's mostly available in the west as a TV series. Its first half is the film which is an adaption of the one volume series by Toriyama which is excellent, the second half is a new arc created for the recent video game using the same tech from the film
Spriggan is a cool intense action film that's kind of Indiana Jones-y but with some over the top fighting
Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust is a gorgeous gothic adventure
Juubee Ninpuuchou is a pretty intense famous action series with ninja
This post recommends some great movies.
Mind Game by Masaaki Yuasa is also good

If you've watched One Piece, I highly suggest Baron Omatsuri
Fate Strange/Fake lacks a lot of background and story but it's quite interesting
