Is Chainsaw man gorier than Attack on Titan?

I really struggle with gore in tv dramas with real people but I don’t know how bad I find it in anime. I have watched Aot and I didn’t find it gory at all really and I can’t get a simple answer online if chainsaw man is worse and how much so it is. Any help would be appreciated!

It is pretty comically gorey, yeah.

Loud_Base_1832025-12-24 12:07

If you didn't find AOT gory, I think you'll be fine with Chainsaw Man.

bloopity992025-12-24 12:08

yes

gud_fellow2025-12-24 12:09

Yes, it is gory, season 1 is on the darker side, the movie tho is absolute cinema. The movie is an artistic masterpiece.

Simple_Meal_2522025-12-24 12:22

The movie was very good.

You ***didn't*** think AoT, the show where people are regularly ripped in half or eaten - was gory?

Shit, you should be fine with Chainsaw man then. You also probably aren't as averse to gore in anime as you thought.

Only shows I can think of off the top of my head that are more gorey would Another or Higurashi.

>You ***didn't*** think AoT, the show where people are regularly ripped in half or eaten - was gory?

If you were to make a scale of goriness with 1 being none and 10 being, let's say, Genocyber, then AoT's score wouldn't be high.

For middle school me that first watch that kind of show, the goryness definitely traumatizing for AOT because you get close shot and sometimes regret and pain not just another kill for the sake of realism. so if you never watch gory stuff and AOT is your first it was pretty impactfull

I'd aot is actually more gory. Chainsaw man has more blood and guts if you counted the scenes, but they are mostly from non-human monsters. Aot gore is from humans, if you're find with aot, I don't see why you'd have a problem with chainsaw man.

LilSkills2025-12-24 12:20

Didn’t know gore in media only applied to human species

AirCheap40562025-12-24 12:28

That's not what I said.

Leamsz2025-12-24 12:40

You didn’t what he said

Maleficent_Fold67652025-12-24 12:19

Its gorier but not nearly as intense imo. Im a grown ass man who has an intense job, and a few times AOT has done something that caught me off guard and even unnerved me a bit. And im only 2 seasons in.

Khashishi2025-12-24 12:38

There's probably more blood in chainsaw man but it's less realistic and mostly monsters getting cut up, but AOT has human trauma.
