Guys should I start watching One piece or not???

I watched one piece until the end of Fisherman Island Arc. After that I couldn’t watch any anime for 2 years. Recently, I watch Demon slayer infinite castle and Camp fire cooking in another world. Should go for it or not. And recommend me some anime that are worth watch.
Don’t mention anime like JJK, AOT. Some new animes.

If you can't decide for yourself, then no

Kiyoshi_Ken2025-12-24 18:29

Is there any anime that worth the time out there.

muzlee012025-12-24 18:54

I dont want to be negative but my mind cant fathom these questions if they should or should not watch something, so i totally agree, dont do it until you actually want to.

Tasty_Hearing_21532025-12-24 18:32

You should absolutely watch One Piece. You can start now or wait for Netflix to release the shortened version.

Kiyoshi_Ken2025-12-24 18:34

I’m not a fan of live action.

Tasty_Hearing_21532025-12-24 18:36

They’re redoing the anime without the filler and pacing issues.

abandoned_idol2025-12-24 19:09

Seems like they are talking about a second anime adaptation but still got downvoted.

The re-adaptation is in production but hasn't been released yet. It is going to be an amazing seasonal quality anime adaptation (as opposed to the cheaper weekly version that you are familiar with).

There's a bunch of great animes out there. if One piece is your type great watch it. but, if you're feeling that you're not into it, just start something else you would like.

After all we watch what we like, right!
About recommendation Tokyo ghoul or noragami.

I recommend One Pace as an alternative. It cuts out the worst of the bloat. Whole Cake Island and Egghead Island have become two of the high points of the series and both are after FMI.

As far as other anime to watch go here are a few other battle shounen:

Yu Yu Hakusho (dub)

Hunter x Hunter 2011 (if you've seen it then enjoy the 1999 anime)

Rurouni Kenshin 1996

Magi + Sinbad no Bouken

Dragon Ball + Dragon Ball Z

Ushio to Tora

Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibouken 2020

Undead Unluck

Claymore

Hajime no Ippo

One Pace is going to be your best friend. I did this after the Netflix live action and cannot believe how good it gets.

abandoned_idol2025-12-24 19:11

Good anime?

For faster paced battle shounen (with strong characterization), there's "Dandadan" and "Chainsawman".

Two mandatory fantasy anime to check out are "Dungeon Meshi" and "Frieren", though be warned since Frieren is a rare exception with 4 initial episodes that are very slow (you should watch 6 episodes before deciding to drop it).

If you want high quality thrillers, there's "Apothecary Diaries" (intelligent doctor-detective protagonist) and the shorter "The Summer when Hikaru Died" (melancholic drama Eldritch horror story).

This sounds like enough stuff to start out with.

Gatlindragon2025-12-24 19:19

Yes, right now is your last chance to watch it before it ends.

Imaginary-Ninja-53832025-12-24 19:21

It’s really got no anime shows all the actual real world struggles as well as one piece

AnimeLover8112025-12-24 19:22

One pace makes it watchable.

Fun-Influence-18492025-12-24 19:37

I think you should it's famous for a reason

SnooMuffins45602025-12-24 21:13
