Your Top Five Animes Of tThe Year
It's almost 2026 so I want to make sure that I'm not skipping any good anime of 2025 and I'm curious about other people personal top animes, so let me know which is your top five animes of the year. I will be reading all your comments.
This is mine + really short review:
5. Secrets of the Silent Witch : I just love the animation and the characters. The animation is not the best but it givis me a really confy vibes, and the characters are likable with good moments to show their emotions.
4. Kusuriya no hitorigoto 2nd season: as entertaining and interesting as the first season. I love the structure of creating the "pieces" in the first part of the season to go with all out in the end showing that everythign has a reason to be. Really good writing
(https://myanimelist.net/anime/58514/Kusuriya_no_Hitorigoto_2nd_Season)
3. Shoushimin series 2nd season: I have nevel fell this level of "holy cow" when the "cards" are revealed in a mystery anime before. Also, the main characters are really original and deep, thus I was glued to the screen everytime they spoken.
2. Uma musume Cinderella Gray: I'm following the uma musumes anime from the airing of the third season, and I couldn't ask for a better quality anime. The races, character developments, character designs, voice acting, etc. It is just everything so well done.
1. Takopi's original sin: The animation studio behind this is a new one but it was founded by people nenowned people in the industry [one of the major names in Silent Voice for example]; I can see how they and the voice actors put a lot of efford in this adaptation because every episode is just perfect. About the story, I'm not going to do any spoiler so I just gonna say that this is the most emotional anime that I have ever seen, specially becuase it feels real. I had some of the problems of the main characters and I know people who has others. Therefore, I think it hits a little harder. Definitely the kind of animes that changes you a little after watching it.

Postdata: Orb: On the Movements of the Earth, Clevatess, Tokima wats to be a Kamen Raider, Ave Mujica and Medalist were really closed to be in my top. They all are pretty good animes too.

Commentaires
2. Sanda
3. Orb
4. Takopi's Original Sin
5. The Summer Hikaru Died
And Cocoon: One Summer of Girlhood for best movie.
Ninkoro
Mono
Hibimeshi
City
Ruri no Houseki I watched some clips and the animation goes hard. I would check it too.
City seems good but I don't want to watch it yet because I still didn't finish Nishijou
I heard good thig about Mono, it is in the same category that Hibemishi (future SoL dose)
(I already spoke about the rest in other comment)
2. **Apocalypse Hotel**
3. **Call of the Night Season 2**
4. **The Summer Hikaru Died**
5. **cocoon**
Cocoon seems interesting, and I have not heard about it for some reason so thank you. I'm gonna check it in some night.
(I already spoke about the rest in others comments)
* Winter: Orb (2nd cour)
* Spring: Shoshimin S2
* Summer: Call of the Night S2
* Fall: My Hero Academia S8
AOTY:
would've been Orb, but **Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc** released online much earlier than expected and stole the crown.
Reze arc goes hard. I read it in the manga and everything was perfect in the adaptation.
Call of the night I'm watching the first season but I kinda stopped because I'm waiting for the final season (probably the third I guess, I have to catch up with the manga)
(I already spoke about the rest in others comments)
4.- The Summer Hikaru Died
3.- Shoshimin Series
2.- The Apothecary Diaries S2
1.- Umamusume: Cinderella Gray
Bonus:
\- Mono
\- Leviathan
\- Kaoru no Hana
\- Ninkoro
\- Medalist
\- Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus
2. Witch Watch
3. Secrets of the Silent Witch
4. Zenshu
5. This Monster wants to eat me
Honorable mentions to "The summer Hikaru Died" and "May I ask for one final thing". They are an extremely close 6 and 7th place. Especially "the summer Hikaru Died" is so damn good and I urge everyone to watch it. I just personally vibed with the top 5 better
I'm not including second or third etc seasons into this. If I did I honestly wouldn't even know where to start. Stuff like Dan Da Dan, Apothecary Diaries, Grand Blue and My Dress Up Darling and many more would push out a lot of the new anime I really want to champion
Zenshu I was about to watch it but I completely forgot about it lol. Apparently it is peak Mappa animation.
This monster wants to eat me: I have left a couple of episodes. I feel that they are strong emotionally so I'm waiting to be ready
Dandandan, Grand Blue and My dress up darling are really good too. We used to pray for adaptation like these
(I already spoke about the rest in others comments)
Zenshu is imo a brilliant self contained small story that pays such loving homage to 90's and 2000's anime. A lot of people are put off by the fact it's an Isekai, but it follows an older Isekai structure a la Escaflowne or Spirited Away. Not the usual NEET power fantasy people have gotten used to nowadays. It has also some interesting meta things to say about endings, good, bad and bittersweet as well as fan fictions, at least in my interpretation. It was a huge surprise to me. It felt like a real passion project, it being an original animation, which Mappa really deserves honestly
I was really put off by the title of This Monster wants to eat me, but I ended up really liking it. It reminded me a lot actually of the summer Hikaru Died, but a lot slower paced and with lesbians and suicidal depression. The slow pace actually really ended up clicking with me and I genuinely really enjoyed it. I thought it was beautiful
And thanks. I trust more in people writing opinions than scores. So, thank you for writing yours. I may be checking witch watch and Zenshu someday, and I will definitely finish This monster wats to eat me
Hopefully you've seen the Witch Watch mangaka's previous work Sket Dance if you haven't already!
Monica has the most GOATed expressions
And Zenshu was a great love letter AND deconstruction of the games Luke's world is based on. So fun
Yano kun: I have heard good things about it in this subreddit. I'm gonna check it when I want wholesome romcom
(I already spoke about the rest in others comments)
2. Orb: On the Movements of the Earth
3. Apothecary Diaries S2
4. Dandadan S2
5. Medalist
(I already spoke about the rest in others comments)
These were my Top 5
5. **Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus** (Sakuta is my favorite returning male character of the year, and it was really interesting to see the cast actually aged up to college. The dialogue is just as good as you remember from S1, and I'm still surprised at how absorbing just seeing two people talk in a cafe can be in this show. Overall, I prefer S1, but \[Rascal Does Not\]>!The final story line was 100% worth the whole season set up and Nene has shot up to my favorite side character in the show.)!<
4. **MHA The Final Season** ( I couldn't be happier with how Bones went all out in its final act. This season has the most MHA episode of the show since the premiere. I've always appreciated MHA's message of telling the audience to be the one to reach out whenever you can. You don't have to be a hero to be heroic. I respect the series stays strong with this theme. \[MHA Final Season\]>!Deku's final run is the highest high of the series!< )
3. **This Monster Wants to Eat Me** (As a big fan of the manga even though the show's budget wasn't the biggest I decision to focus on getting a great trio of VAs and an excellent soundtrack really made the scenes feel alive to me. Hinako is one of the best representations of depression I've watched in quite a while and Shiori is my favorite new character of the year. Their relationship dynamic is just so unique while Miko is the much needed comedic relief. \[This Monster Wants to Eat Me\]>!The reveal of Shiori's true motives was amazing, and it was fun to see people's opinions of her change each episode until the reveal!< )
2. **Ruri Rocks** (This show caught me completely off guard. Ruri and Nagi's mentee and mentor was just so heartwarming to watch, and I love how much the show celebrates nurturing curiosity. While Ruri can be a bit bratty she is also eager to learn and full of energy. That's not even mentioning just how pretty the backgrounds are. \[Ruri Rocks\]>!Ruri's character arc of gaining confidence in herself was so good and it's funny how while she's the MC it can be argued she's the last one to join as she sees herself as beneath everyone else!<)
1. **My Dress-Up Darling S2** (It is just unfair how likable Marin is. This season just doubles down on the story's message of being proud of what you love, and I am so here for that. While the romance between Marin and Gojo is great as always, what really blew me away were just how much I resonated with both the new and returning cast side. \[My Dress-Up Darling S2\]>!Amane's flashback in particular already had me crying my eyes out like Marin, but Gojo saying he would never call him creepy for crossdressing just finished me. I tear up just thinking about that scene.!< Lastly, it would be criminal for me not to mention just how good the animation is. Marin swiping on her phone has more frames than other show's whole episodes. It is clearly CloverWork's darling, and my favorite by them since Bocchi the Rock.
Rascal has a slow first part with some episodes and conclusion that feels kinda empty, but the final arc is really good yeah. I'm excited for the final movie.
And CloverWork being ClowerWork.
(I already spoke about the rest in others comments)
I'm going to be sad when Rascal is all done and gone. Started that show with "Hot chick in a bunny suit" assumptions, and just enjoyed the non bunny suit ride.
As a lover of romance, Summer was honestly an insane season. I still can't believe CloverWorks blessed us with Dress-Up S2, Bunny Girl S2, and Fragrant Flower at the same time. Also I really liked Watanare too, and I'm excited for the new episodes next week.
Dress-Up though I loved a cut above the rest because it was just so sweet I could feel my blood sugar levels rising and I couldn't help but wear a dumb smile. Gojo and Marin are so perfect for each other. I wanna get the Blu-Ray set when they release it with English subs.
- Chainsaw Man Reze arc movie
- MHA final season
- Dandadan season 2
- Takopi Original Sin
- Orb: On the Movements of the Earth
(I already spoke about the rest in others comments)
Here are my 8/10 or higher titles:
Kingdom S6 (likely, it's not over yet)
Dandadan S2
Dr. Stone: Science Future Part 2
Bonus: Trillion Game (2024 anime that finished this year, it's up there with my few favorites this year easily)
----------------------------------------------
These anime are rated between 7.7-7.9/10
Fermat no Ryouri
Medalist
Ore dake Level Up na Ken S2: Arise from the Shadow
Dr. Stone: Science Future Part 1
Spy x Family Season 3 (likely, it's not over yet)
Bonus: Dragon Ball Daima (same deal as Trillion Game)
Bonus: Chi. Chikyuu no Undou ni Tsuite (same deal as Trillion Game)
Dr: Stone: I was watching it with a friend but he moved out. I'm gonna catch up someday. It was really interesting
Trillion game seems a fun mind game anime. I would probably watch it if the "mind game" anime of this yeard isn't enough (I don't remember the name but it is a pretty popular manga)
I have never heard of Fermat no Ryouri, but it gives off Food War. I'm not that much into cooking tho
Sololeveling S2 is peak action anime. It is probably the most popular of the yeard too. I know somebody who doesn't watch anime but watched SL
Soy Family: I'm reading the manga but the anime seems to be a really good adaptation
Dragon Daima: I'm lost in the Dagon Ball franchise man. I'm gonna catch up someday
(I already spoke about the rest in others comments)
2. Tastuki Fujimoto 17-26
3. Chainsaw Man Reze arc
4. Cocoon
5. My Melody and Kuromi
My melody and kuromi seems good based on mysnimelists score. I'm gonna check it if I'm looking for something "fluffy)
(I already spoke about the rest in others comments)
1. Leviathan
2. Lazarus
3. The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity
4. Blue Box
5. Medalist
Lazarus crashed a little in the end IMO. I'm glad that you enjoyed it tho, the animation is top notch.
Blue box: Man don't remind me. It still hurts. Peak anime and waiting (hopingly) S2
(I already spoke about the rest in others comments)
I liked the ending of Lazarus. There were a few episodes leading up to it that weren't quite as exciting as the rest, but it was still a really fun show for me overall.
If you like Lazarus that much you could check Black Lagoon. It has similar vibes to Lazarus's director works and it is really good
My Hero Academia Final Season
Call of the Night Season 2
Chainsaw Man Reze Arc
Witch Watch
Still need to watch Orb and Takopi
(I already spoke about the rest in others comments)
5. A Star Brighter Than the Sun
I love it to the bits! I like every character in this series (except the orange haired guy but i prefer to think he was just a npc) but i relate to Iwata the most, she's my favorite MC of 2025. It was delightful to see both leads grow, they deserve the world. Also both the OP and ED were bangers, i listen to them at least a few times a week. I'm looking forward for the Season 2!
4. Kowloon Generic Romance
Despite the word "generic" this concept felt very unique and i enjoyed every episode. The way Reko-pon tried to find herself and be her absolute self gave me such motivation to never act like somebody i'm not. It was inspirational and moving, i didn't foresee the ending but overall it was a great ride. Again, both OP and ED are bangers.
3.Apothecary Diaries Season 2
The series were already good but i think they raised the bar even more with the second season. New addition to cast was entertaining, there were many beautifully animated scenes and i found the last few episodes very moving. I love the first OP, it's so catchy.
2. Toilet Bound Hanako-kun Season 2
The long awaited (literally 5 years) season 2 had came. It was just as good as i anticipated. Many of the best moments of the manga got finally adapted, i cannot choose between cour 1 or 2, they were just too good. I love every OPs and EDs, you can feel how much care the artists poured into their work, you come to know that they love the series from bottom of their hearts. The only bad thing about it was i got used to watching it every sunday (iirc), so when it finished i was devastated.
1. The Summer Hikaru Died
Absolute cinema. Like literally. It's the best piece of animation of 2025 (imo the only thing come to my mind as close competition is Frieren for storytelling and originality and Solo Leveling for animation, so it's almost the best of the last few years) After the season 2, when the series come to a conclusion, i want them to make something like a recap movie out of this (which normally turns out bad but i believe in production team of this anime), so that i can watch it in big screen. For at least 3 times in a row. If every top anime was called gold before, then this is diamond. It was creepy, heart-warming, horrifying, exciting, depressing and moreover beautiful. I love it so much. I'm obsessed with it. While I'm glad for never reading the manga beforehands, I was able to watch the anime without spoilers, i'm also disappointed in myself to never checking the manga out earlier since it was this much of a masterpiece. I listen to both OP and ED daily.
Bonus : The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess
Recency bias or not, i'd like to include this series in this list somehow because it's just so funny. I haven't seen the last episode yet but i can say that i eagerly waited for each episode every week. I want this series to never end. I could watch it every week until the last day of my life. Iana's reactions are hilarious, she has the absolute worst luck ever, she never catches a break. I hope it gets a Season 2
Kowloon: I have heard cool things about it on different social medias. I didn't check it because I heard that you need to watch a live action series to understand it but apparently it wasn't true
Tensei Akujo is really fun. Speacially if you have read enough otome (I have read way too many). I think it wasn't that popular because it is a very specific kind of story so it drives off a lot of people I guess. But yeah, Iana best girl. I do hope that in the second season (if it have any) the pacing is slower tho
Hikaru: I was thinking about checking its manga a couple of years ago, but now I will wait the second season to watch binge it.
(I already spoke about the rest in others comments)
1 - Orb: On the movements of the earth
2 - Takopi's original sin
3 - The fragrant flower blooms with dignity
4 - To be hero X
5 - The Summer Hikaru Died
(I already spoke about the rest in others comments)
2. [Takopii no Genzai](https://myanimelist.net/anime/60489/Takopii_no_Genzai)
3. [Kusuriya no Hitorigoto 2nd Season](https://myanimelist.net/anime/58514/Kusuriya_no_Hitorigoto_2nd_Season)
4. [Boku no Hero Academia: Final Season](https://myanimelist.net/anime/60098/Boku_no_Hero_Academia__Final_Season)
5. [Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru Season 2](https://myanimelist.net/anime/53065/Sono_Bisque_Doll_wa_Koi_wo_Suru_Season_2)
This made me realize there weren't that many heavy hitters this year. I would've also included Orb in this list, but it's more of a 2024 anime for me.
Looking forward to winter 2026.
(I already spoke about them in others comments)
2. Takopii's Original Sin
3. Fragrant Flower
4. Lycoris Recoil ONA
5. Medalist
I didn't know that Lycoris Recoil has an ONA this year. Really good anime and good memes
(I already spoke about the rest in others comments)
https://youtube.com/@milkygalacticuniverse
2) Lord of Mysteries
3) Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc
4) My Dress Up Darling S2
5) Tougen Anki (Yeah yeah, I know.. but I really enjoyed it)
Tougen Anki: I didn't watch it but I heard that it is full nekketsu (battle shonen). Because of that if you really like that tropes you are going to enjoy it, but if you are tired of them you would dislike it. Truly an interesting case
(I already spoke about the rest in others comments)
2. Grand Blue Season 2
3. Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku
4. Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru Season 2
5. Mono
2. Kingdom S6 (not done but I'm happy to put it here for now)
3. Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc
4. Dandandan S2
5. Apothecary Diaries S2
There is a large gap between the top 3 and the last 2.
(I already spoke about the rest in others comments)
4. Apothecary Diaries - My daughter’s favorite anime, it was doubly exciting when we got to enjoy it at Universal studios Japan.
3. Chainsaw Man Reze - Pool scene didn’t do much for me on original watch but hits hard on rewatch. Beautiful tragedy.
2. Apocalypse Hotel - By far the most criminally underrated anime of the year. I cannot recommend it enough.
1. Takopi’s Original Sin - Generationally great anime. Wembanyama of anime. IMO the best anime since 86. I am giving out the manga for Christmas wherever I can.
Apocalypse hotel seems to be the underrated of the year
Takopi's manga goes hard apparently. I don't have it but watched a review and there is a double page of you know what scene in the episode one, and it is beautiful and hard to watch. Seems worthy
(I already spoke about the rest in others comments)

3.- Let this grieving soul retire second cour
Lets this grieving soul retire: I think I checked it but it didn't connect with me

2. Secrets of the silent witch
3. Campfire cooking in another world (season 2)

2. Takopi’s Original Sin.
3. Apothecary Diaries S2.

Rock is a Lady's Modesty
Zenshuu.

Rock's a lady's modesty: I heard good things about it and I watched some clips. It looks interesting, I'm just waiting for when I'm looking for a music anime.
(I already spoke about the rest in others comments)
2. Gachiakuta
3. Secrets of the Silent Witch
4. Ruri Rocks
5. Cleavatess
A dense, slow-burn masterpiece that truly rewards patience. Its biggest strengths are its layered worldbuilding, occult-inspired power system, and constant psychological tension rather than flashy spectacle. The atmosphere is consistently oppressive and mysterious, making it one of the most intellectually engaging modern fantasy stories out there. Definitely not beginner-friendly, but incredibly satisfying if you commit. And yes....it’s Chinese.
2) Takopi's Original Sin
Short, brutal, and emotionally devastating. What initially looks like a cute, Doraemon-ish story quickly turns into a sharp critique of abuse, loneliness, and moral responsibility. The contrast between its innocent art style and heavy subject matter amplifies the impact. It doesn’t overstay its welcome and leaves you uncomfortable in a way that feels deliberate and meaningful.
3) Fujimoto Tatsuki (17-26)
Fujimoto’s early-to-mid career showcases a rare mix of chaos, sincerity, and emotional intelligence. Whether it’s absurd violence or quiet, lingering character pain, his stories feel raw and unpredictable. He portrays deeply flawed people without moral hand-holding, which is exactly why his works resonate so strongly with younger audiences seeking honesty over polish.
4) Ruri no Houseki
One of the best slice-of-life series in a long time. Gorgeous visuals by Studio Bind, charming characters, and....most importantly...rocks. It’s a show you can relax with and genuinely enjoy while also learning new things. Cozy, informative, and visually pleasing without feeling shallow.
5) Solo Leveling
Pure power fantasy executed efficiently. It doesn’t try to reinvent storytelling; it knows exactly what it wants to be....hype, momentum, and spectacle. The art and constant escalation carry the experience, making it extremely bingeable. It’s not deep, and yes, a lot of it is slop and aura-farming....but it’s confident, fun, and very enjoyable, which is why it works.
2. Takopi’s Original Sin
3. 100 Girlfriends S2
4. Mono
5. Catch Me at the Ballpark
2. Gachiakuta
3. Chainsaw man [movie]
4. To be hero x
5. One piece egg head part 2 seasonb
- The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity
- Medalist
- Witch Watch
- Secrets of the Silent Witch
- My Awkward Senpai
A couple that came close and fell short, but deserved a mention:
- Orb: On the Movements of the Earth (I enjoyed this a lot, but despite every episode feeling like 5 minutes, never quite got the "oh god it's out I NEED IT NOW" feeling watching it weekly)
- This Monster Wants to Eat Me (not quite done just yet so they could flub it in the last episode... definitely my winner for sound design though)
- Milky☆Subway: The Galactic Limited Express (the /r/anime comments were right about this one)
- Zatsu Tabi (might be the comfiest anime I watched this year)
Overall I think 2025 was a really good year for anime. Can't wait to see what 2026 brings, since it looks like it's shaping up to be another heater!
Second coming of Samurai Flamenco with absolute tons of great moments that are as epic as silly considering those adults are wearing masks and imitating their heroes lmao... no, that's not fully correct, they really believe they are them, and it's fucking hype. Honestly making me consider to check out Kamen Rider entries, as a Precure fan maybe it scratches the same kind of story now in live action format.
Meshi Umashi was such a satisfying watch, absolutely loved the cast and the fun times together, seeing Mako become more open with her friends and gather the courage to actually go for the things she wishes made me so happy... the cooking topic also was neatly implemented, one of my favorite CGDCT shows ever and I hope we get a sequel.
In third place I will put Hikaru ga Shinda Natsu, fantastic show with really beautiful visuals and an engaging story, the interactions between the main duo were so good.
Fourth place goes to Bad Girl, another awesome CGDCT that gave me Atori-senpai, who I simp as hard as the characters do in the story haha.
For fifth spot I will place Arknights: Enshin Shomei, Arknights is my favorite game ever and the adaptation of the last, really epic stretch of the first arc of the story was a very enjoyable watch, albeit the rushed pacing takes points away from me, really happy nonetheless that we got an adaptation that made it to that point.
That's... kinda basically all I watched honestly lmao, only other two entries I finished are Ave Mujica (for the collab it's getting with Arknights lmao) and Watanare (I LOVE YOU AJISAI), both good shows but nothing I was crazy about.
Considering that last year I didn't finish a single show this was a step up, hoping that 2026 comes with my spark for anime reigniting.
And good luck this year. I think everybody goes through phases where they are not that interested in animes

Shoutout to Chainsaw Man Reze arc, Takopii and Ave Mujica
2. Takopi's Original Sin - I know what to expect with this kind of series, but I wasn't prepared on how the story went. Fourth episode is the best single episode this year.
3. Shoushimin S2 - Watched the first season, which is one of the best series last year, and this season basically cement this series as one of my favorites for this decade.
4. Orb - A very good depiction of the quest for knowledge, a bit philosophical at times but man, that second arc is just absolute cinema.
5. See You at the Food Court - Just a short series about two girls literally talking to each other at a food court, yet it works. Like, the only problem I have here is its episode count.
Honorable Mentions:
City the Animation - a bit tame compared to Nichijou, but production values alone makes it a must watch. Episode 5 alone has more frames than other full seasons. Second best episode this year.
Yano-kun's Ordinary Days - unexpectedly good romance series for such a basic plot.
MHA Final Season - one of the greatest ending to a shounen series, though admittedly the way to get to this point is bumpy to put it mildly.
Vigilantes - a very good spinoff series, maybe better than its main?
Secrets of the Silent Witch - looking like it's building to something, at the very least. A bit off with pacing and how things went, but I still liked it.

\#2 Demon Slayer Infinity Castle part 1, this movie had insane animation and was a lot longer than i expected, this was my first time watching an anime movie in theatres it was definitly an amazing experience and deserves the second spot for me.
\#3 Dandadan season 2, this anime was crazy in a good way its a wacky action anime with a surprising number of sexual predators and surprisingly deep backstories. honestly a great watch for action enjoyers and easily deserving of my third spot.
\#4 Gachiakuta, this anime was surprisingly good i went into it without ever hearing about the story before and it exceeded my expectations it had great animation, great fights, the story has me a bit interested too, this well deserves the fourth spot on my list.
\#5 Chainsaw Man, Reze Arc, the second time ive seen an anime movie in theatres while it was a bit slow for my tastes it was amazing none the less, i even got a cute little chainsaw headband from my visit to the theatre! im very happy putting this movie in the fifth slot on my list.
i tend to gravitate more towards action anime but if i could put a sixth up here itd be campfire cooking season 2 as that anime was the perfect chill vibes gourmet anime with not a single bad episode or moment so consider it my honorable mention. thats it for my list though i know everyone will have a different list but this one is mine and im happy with the anime this year.

2. **Mononoke: Fire Rat.** I was really disappointed by the first movie due to the bad pacing, especially as a huge fan of the 2007 series. But the second movie was great.
3. **The Summer Hikaru Died.** I love horror. Anime can't really do some kinds of horror, but I've really enjoyed the ones who lean into a more eerie atmosphere as opposed to jump scares or slasher style.
4. **Toilet-bound Hanako-kun.** The combination of cutesy art with stories that range from adorable to surprisingly dark is incredibly enjoyable. Plus the characters are all fun. Not a single one I don't like.
5. **Gachiakuta.** I was surprised to enjoy this one so much - I've mostly moved away from shounen action unless they've got something unique about them (like how Windbreaker strongly focuses on mental health issues, etc). But this one was so fun. The characters are all colorful and entertaining without being too much and the setting is interesting.
