i desperately need some new suggestions

i just finished watching reze arc and getting up to date on the manga. i have watched aot, demons slayer and some jujutsu kaisen. i would like some more recommendations that fit into those categories. specifically, i am in love with how there is a great combination of action and complex plot writing found in chainsaw man. i heard solo leveling might be good but idk. thanks!

Hi General_Assignment18, it seems like you might be looking for new anime to watch!

The users of this subreddit came up with [a chart of anime recommendations for newcomers and veterans](https://i.redd.it/0w1v880jtq661.png) and [an awesome longer flowchart](https://i.redd.it/vdzlkodz19c71.png). Maybe you can find something there that you'll like \^.\^

fma brotherhood

Akudama Drive = cyberpunk suicide squad

86 = replace titans in AOT with rogue machines + war drama commentary

Cyberpunk Edgerunners = really good balls to the wall show in cyberpunk 2077 world

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood = 10/10 gold standard of shonen with great plot writing

Vinland Saga = revenge/redemption story + viking era action

These are all modern dark shonen-leaning titles. Certainly Gachiakuta which just finished its first season fits right in. They all have an influence in common, I'd say, in Naoki Urasawa's Monster which hits that complex story/action dynamic you like about Chainsaw Man even though it's not a battle manga like the rest. For similar reason you should watch Pluto by the same author (and is much shorter). One last recommend, Violet Evergarden because it's gorgeous and mature, I get the feeling you might vibe with it.

Welcome to demon school iruma-kun. The plot is simple and fun. It's similar to my hero academia but in the netherworld. I just want to promote it because it deserves more attention and love 😭❤️

I suggest you pick something at random that you might never watch otherwise and just watch it. Expand your horizons.
