If A-1 gave 86 to another studio, would the price for season 2 increase or be zero?
I know this may be a stupid question but purely theoretically if A-1 left 86, would the chance for a 2nd season increase or would it do nothing for the anime itself because I saw that the next solo leveling project will be released in 2026

Each member of a production committee contributes to the budget of the anime in the hopes that it will increase sales of their specific products.
If an anime is not considered popular enough to make a return on their investment then it will simply not get made.
Anime has historically, and even today, been produced as a form of advertisement for other products, usually the manga/light novels. That is why the majority of anime only get one season and then you need to go and read the manga to learn how the story ends. It has only been very recently that we are seeing stories get animated to completion.
No one here knows anything about the inner workings of any of these businesses.
People need to stop getting their anime news of TikTok accounts with inaccurate information.
so that doesn't matter
here is the thing A-1 really doesn't decide anything they dont produce the show just animate it
is the committee that decides if they want to green lit a new season and when
like you said they might release a new SL thing next year but A-1 said they would prefer to wait until 2028
