I don’t remember the name of the anime

So basically I remembering watching this anime in like 2018-2019 but I think it was out before that. It had the craziest plot and I to this day I’ve still been trying to figure out the name, I believe I was watching it on crunchyroll if that helps.

The plot was extremely novel to me.

It was like some kid and his mom were living in Japan and I think something happened where the mom dies in washroom bath tub but this isn’t in like the beginning??? But then his uncle or dad gives him some type of ancient artifact or something where it freezes time? I don’t remember exactly what it did but the craziest part of the anime was how like he gets travelled/isekaied to another world literally like in the middle/end of the anime. I kind of remember it being night?? But like up until here I stopped watching it. I was hoping anyone or anybody would have any clues to what the hell this anime was that I watched 😭😭

Any and all kind of leads are appreciated 🙏

Seirei Gensouki Spirit Chronicles?

EssayEastern2025-12-25 16:59

I just clicked some YouTube video of it, but it was literally like a slice of life in japan if I recall and then out of nowhere this action started coming out in the episodes and then i believe in the last couple of episodes he gets isekaied.

Im guessing it Yu No A girl who Shouts Time

There is more to the title but it goes along those lines

I didnt finish it, but it does involve a time loop, an artifact from his father, and him going to another world a bit later in the show. Time frame fits too

It sounds like Yu No

THIS IS LITERALLY IT TYSM. This subreddit is full of genuine magicians what the heck. Literally got an answer in less than 20 minutes. While I’ve been thinking about the name of this anime for years.

I only recently found out about the isekai part since its rarely talked about, if it weren't for that I wouldnt have gotten it. YuNo gets brought up fairly often so it stays on the mind

N7CombatWombat2025-12-25 17:33

It feels like a kitchen sink type story, but it seems to have integrated all the aspects pretty well.

If I squint while reading your description it makes me think of YUNO: A Girl Who Chants Love at the Bound of this World.

EssayEastern2025-12-25 17:17

😭😭😭 I’m so shocked you were able to recognize it from my horrible description

Saritus332025-12-25 17:01

Sounds a bit like [YU-NO](https://myanimelist.net/anime/34620/Kono_Yo_no_Hate_de_Koi_wo_Utau_Shoujo_YU-NO)

Expert-Ad34482025-12-25 17:03

It’s full title is - YU-NO: A girl who chants love at the bound of this world - And it’s definitely this anime. It’s 26 episodes long and very good
