Even as a mha non lover i am admitting that the final season was peak
Suichimo2025-12-25 19:51
The correct term, as made famous by Wolverine and Colossus from X-Men, is fast ball special.
turkeygiant2025-12-25 23:30
This was more of a swing, the fastball special is usually more of a track and field shot put maneuver.

This episode had better animation and better final fight than Deku v shigaraki. Kind of a bummer, 8 seasons of build up for Deku v Shigaraki and it was 2 mins of scrapping near Mt Fuji then a mental experience.
AntiBomb2025-12-26 02:16
Yeah, I was constantly waiting for this level of animation and epicness again during the final fight but it never came. Weird decision to have given the best animation in the series not to the actual final fight between the main vilain and the main character but to the fight before it.
QueasyIsland2025-12-26 02:26
Don’t get me wrong the final season was great, it was more of a blue balls IMO, I totally understand why it had to be a mental case, to save shigaraki etc etc but it woulda just been cinema to seen two of the most powerful just really duke it out? No aizaawa nerf on shigaraki, like in s7 and s6. A total spectacle to really close out the series and then end the mental defeat afterwards.
death5562025-12-26 03:07
It was kind of obvious that was going to happen cause deku was already on the withdrawal. Was never going to be as good as his first round with skigaraki before they started playing ring around the rosy for 15 episodes
void0052026-01-01 12:32
No it didn't.
arasitar2025-12-26 07:24
Animation from that ending of E02, to E03 and E04 had stellar action animation nearly back to back. I always loved how Bakugo's Quirk animation evolves from simple explosions to [adding that plus with Cluster](https://www.sakugabooru.com/post/show/233390) to [a fireworks display](https://www.sakugabooru.com/post/show/268997) with his Quirk Awakening, and this final form is just incredible.
[Sakugo Booru recorded a lot of great stuff from that series of episodes](https://www.sakugabooru.com/post?page=4&tags=my_hero_academia). This one - https://www.sakugabooru.com/post/show/292931 - where Bakugo figures out his new upgrade and sparks flying through his body is my personal favorite. It just looks beautiful and gorgeous.
I'll post the other links for Bakugo's animations from those set of episodes here.
With just the way they looked at each other and perfectly understood their plan, it felt like they truly knew each other, that all ofnthis time they spent together was for this exact moment
MHA is just way too good, way too overhated for bo reason at all
Meander0612025-12-25 20:53
>MHA is just way too good, way too overhated for bo reason at all
I paid no attention to the haters. They're ridiculous.
Danye-South2025-12-25 21:46
As much as it sucks, avoiding a fan base of something you like tends to be the best wya to enjoy it. We could be talking about the highest rated show of all time and there’s still gonna be wanna be critics that rip it apart and think they could do better
WormedOut2025-12-25 22:28
There’s many valid and well worded critiques of MHA. That doesn’t mean you can’t like it or disagree.
Shr3tt2025-12-25 22:39
Exactly. It does have its faults and some really weak moments. But overall it was an enjoyable watch with some really high peaks.
Its weird that people seem to not be allowed to criticize something and either love or hate something. But if you love it, dont you dare critique it...
Familiar-Shoe79052025-12-26 00:49
Except thats not why its overhated lmao, every show has valid and well worded critiques
Empero122025-12-25 22:40
Season 4 & 5 did so much damage to the show for its pacing and drab plot that I had to recommend people watch the first 3 episodes of S6 to get them motivated to watch the rest of 5
NicciHatesYou2025-12-26 03:49
Yeah, I remember being so tilted when they kept on spamming flashbacks of what 1A did ON THE SAME EPISODE.
Tuning in weekly that season was such a pain. Weeklong wait just for half of the episodes be flashbacks.
Virgil_Rug_Say_RUG2025-12-26 02:20
its not "no reason"
these moments were a nice payoff but the show is so much longer than it needs to be. if youre not watching with your finger on the skip 10 second button its nearly unwatchable
ShiRonium2025-12-25 20:04
I'm so glad MHA ended on a high note at least in terms of animation
naitsebs2025-12-25 20:05
Man, I replayed this scene so damn much. The OST, the animation, the vibes, the hype. Spoiled af by Studio Bones.

omg you're such a ☝🤓. Oh and btw, OST just stands for original soundtrack, that's it. None of the bullshit you're saying
Schalungus2025-12-26 02:10
There's a limit to how insufferable of a person you can be, and even in the anime community you've passed that threshold. Get a grip and reevaluate your mental health.
ImpactMiserable93842025-12-26 07:30
Certified "umm actually" moment
Djinnfor2025-12-26 17:38
My guy, you realize OST stands for "original sound track" right?
If "track" is supposed to be the term for a singular song, adding "original sound" in front of it doesn't make it a "collection" of songs. Each individual track can be correctly referred to as an "original" (i.e. as opposed to licensed) "sound" "track".
DylKyll2025-12-25 20:05
This scene was the perfect way to show what it takes to subvert expectations and actually earn it. In any other show All Might would have died at the end of this. But with the team up that has been growing for seasons they are able to save their mentor.
BadBehaviour6132025-12-25 20:38
Noble sacrifice has become such a cliche at this point. I’d rather see the heroes sweat to achieve the best possible outcome
RowanWinterlace2025-12-25 21:44
There's something really beautiful about a show where the rival students (instead of fighting it out at the end with their teacher/s long dead) fighting so hard together and making sure their teacher lives happily to an old age.
ILikesStuff2025-12-25 21:08
What about Gran Torino who was like 100 y/o? Or Edgeshot? I get what you mean with All Might , and it does feel rewarding there, but they were clearly written to fall. Bakugo basically got out of jail for free. It doesn't feel like expectations are being subjected, it rather feels like fear of unsettling readers
WormedOut2025-12-25 22:29
In any other show they wouldn’t keep doing emotional fake outs, and instead have real consequences.
AdNecessary76412025-12-25 22:51
It's a good thing "consequences" have never been limited to characters dying - or to be negative to begin with.
WormedOut2025-12-27 05:17
No but typically when you have a negative consequence happen, then turn around and say “Just kidding it’s fixed now” most adults who know what “good writing” is can see why that’s ridiculous. I’m glad you like simple writing though.
Schalungus2025-12-26 02:15
You'd have a point if after OFA died Hawks didn't make that joke about how all the quirks OFA stole went back to their owners, but then said "sike, if only huh?". There's consequences in MHA, but to tie in back to when Nighteye died, they already set the precedent that a strong accumulation of wills wanting to change the future, CAN change the future.
WormedOut2025-12-27 05:16
Lol, no there’s not. Everyone knew Bakugo wouldn’t actually stay dead, Deku got his arms back immediately, Le Million got his powers back, no one in A-1 died or lost their quirks. Constant rugpulls. Bad writing. Sorry
arasitar2025-12-26 02:12
MHA had great character development for All Might post Act 1.
Being the symbol of peace, having power and the ability to lead the way, but being forced to retire, still feeling obligations to society and to his students and to his successors, yet feeling powerless. It helps explore what being a hero means beyond just power.
ClemFire2025-12-26 03:44
The optimism in MHA is what kept me coming back even as I slowly watch fewer battle shonens. Seeing the last episode really felt like an end of an era
snktiger2025-12-25 20:21
wow didnt know MHA had 8 seasons
Papaburk2025-12-25 20:28
S8 was the final season, it wrapped up a couple weeks ago. (Mostly, there’s an OVA of the extra chapter coming out in May)
Ellmagronn2025-12-26 02:33
lol
SpikeRosered2025-12-25 20:31
Honestly, last season had too much going on before it finally boiled down to the central conflict depicted during this season. Very much to it's detriment. A tighter ending would have been better. I did no enjoy last season and I am blown away how much they stepped it up for the actual final fight.
Nogard872025-12-25 20:36
I thought the season started amazing and got better and better every episode until it finally peaked in the final battle. I didn't think there was a bad episode in the entire final season.
aaaaaa4t42025-12-25 20:59
The pacing was definitely on point! It felt like they really built up the tension perfectly leading into that final battle. What was your favorite moment from the season?
ninetoesfrank2025-12-25 20:39
Bakugo is a badass
M4DM1ND2025-12-25 20:41
MHA had its ups and downs but it really went out with a bang. As far as shounen endings, it was solid. I just wish that when Shigaraki went into hibernation, they did a time skip, picked back up when they were 3rd years had a couple arcs, then went to the final battle.
MAXIMUS52332025-12-25 20:42
Bluray release will be glorious
shapeeq2025-12-25 20:55
I thought the clip was going to be the full All Might sequence.
Euphoric_Amoeba87082025-12-25 21:06
Is this anime as good as people say?
NamerNotLiteral2025-12-26 01:36
It is better than people say.
It's just that it got fashionable to hate MHA during Season 4 and 5, and it also coincided with the only two mediocre seasons. But even then they're not bad, just a little more boring and less well animated compared to the other 6 seasons.
But Seasons 1 to 3 are a generational run, and Seasons 6 through 8 are back on top form again.
MillenniumKing2025-12-26 02:03
Also those seasons aired during lockdown so yeah, people need to be a bit more understanding.
But that said, they are perfectly enjoyable, its just the hot thing people on the internet said to hate for years.
Virgil_Rug_Say_RUG2025-12-26 02:23
it has some really good moments but the pacing is pretty horrible at times. id recommend "speedrunning" it, skipping all the fluff which there is a lot of.
MaybeImYami2025-12-26 02:49
A lot of the fluff has some of the most endearing and fun character moments though...

ratmanistaken2025-12-26 04:52

Due_Proof67042025-12-26 07:02
I have to watch this episode again shit was amazing

Did anyone do the math and find out how fast bakugo was going?
