I'm a fan of a good magical girl transformation sequence, but this one seems excessively long.

It was a transformation plus combination animation. Transform was ~90s while the combination was another 60s. From a cursory search online, that is about the norm from a Sunday morning magical girl show like Precure.

The transformation itself is about on par with Precure. Not my preferred style usually but it's fine.

Haven't seen Precure, so I don't have frame of reference for that one outside the clip from the end of the anniversary movie, or whatever it was, and that one was a special case.

If we were to look at as a Precure transformation, it's up there with the longest (Cure Felice - 1:35, Cure Melody and Cure Rhythm - 1:43) so it is a bit long but it's unlikely to be shown in full more than a handful of times or it will come at the cost of other characters (which is what happened in ep 35).

Everything in PriOrc is so floaty and long. I was initially excited for the Symphogear team's work, but this was extremely disappointing after the amazing scenes from Symphogear XV.
