What are some must watch anime from the last 2

i stopped watching animes a while ago and i wanna get back into it, im usually into action and isekai but yk what im ready to watch anything atp so please give me some recs that are worth watching in your opinion

won't flood you with recs but would def suggest you to watch frieren.

also an anime i liked from fall 2025 would be tojima wants to be a kamen rider
(finished airing last week)

imo isekai this year was kinda mid. i'd recommend zenshu from that genre

Crunchyroll awards have always had a heavy battle shonen bias, the only exception is that year Made in Abyss somehow won, which is a wonder now looking back seeing the winners from all the other years

I agree, Frieren was so much better, don't get me wrong solo leveling isn't bad, I liked the start but at the end it's just gets boring, a simple overpowered mc who just fight enemies and always wins with no weaknesses (in my opinion), while Frieren was so much better, it had good plot, characters, animation and was very well written, more meaningful, more mature, and more artistically ambitious.

It focuses on emotions, time, and relationships, making the story feel deep and memorable. The characters grow naturally, and the quiet moments matter as much as the big ones.

Solo Leveling is fun and exciting, but it’s mostly about getting stronger and winning fights.

Solo Leveling entertains you while Frieren stays with you.

This is all just my opinion, don't get all mad at me people

Frieren was too slow, it was better at 1.5x-2x speed. I don’t think I’ll go back for a second watch. Solo leveling was fun enough for a second watch. Especially since it’s plot is basic

I stopped frieren after 3eps due to it being very boring while solo leveling i was amazed by at every ep. so everyone has a different taste I guess

-**Drifting home** (from 2022, movie, my fav): adventure, fantasy, family, coming of age, comedy, drama

-**The apothecary diaries** (from 2023, first season 24 ep, second season 24 ep, with a total of 48 eps, very well written): historical, mystery, drama, fantasy with a tad bit of romance

-**Cyberpunk edgerunners** ( from 2022, 10ep, amazing): sci-fi, action, dystopian

-**Heavenly delusions** ( from 2023,12 ep but the will be season 2, love it, it's very fun): sci-fi, mystery, adventure

-**Hells paradise** (from 2023, 12 ep but season 2 will finally come out next year, absolute favorite):action, dark fantasy, psychological thriller

-**Gachiakuta** (from 2025, 24 ep, love it,very unique):dark fantasy, action, shōnen

-**Dandadan** (from 2024, 2 season with each being 12 ep, very funny but gets a lot of hate): sci-fi, romance,action-comedy, highschool drama
