Chainsaw Man Reze Arc or Demon Slayer Infinity Castle?

Hey Guys, Give me your opinions on both the movies, and don't just type out "oH dEmOn sLaYeR iS wAy bEtTer" I want actual points from those who have watched both the movies and not just a two word answer. Discuss story, pacing, artstyle, soundtracks and music, cinematography, whatever you want. I'm tired of seeing people meat riding Demon Slayer movie and shitting on Chainsaw Man movie so tell me in your opinion which one is better with actual debate points.

gud_fellow2025-12-27 17:06

State the reason. I already said I don't want a single sentence.

my_atheism_2025-12-27 18:38

If you have just watched both of them, you would know

gud_fellow2025-12-27 19:28

I have watched both of them, I reason I said "state the reason" because I already said I don't want answers in one sentence. Maybe you should read my post carefully. I too, prefer chainsaw man movie. But I want logical debate points.

Chainsaw Man for me. It has a complete, rounded story from start to finish. Demon Slayer's pacing gets killed by that final Akaza flashback - it's way too heavy and breaks the momentum of the whole film

gud_fellow2025-12-27 17:23

Agreed, Fujimoto writes such complex characters and I love that, he's a great at what he does.

xasoom992026-01-03 18:48

How does it break the momentum of the movie if its literally the last important thing in it (other than the actual end of the fight)
It doesn’t even makes sense to say that csm reze has more rounded story when infinity castle is trilogy not a single complete movie like reze.

PerceptionOk85432025-12-27 17:09

Demon slayer is trash as a whole so yeah. It’s carried by animation only while Reze arc was beautiful on so many levels

gud_fellow2025-12-27 17:13

I Agree, Ufotable is carrying Demon Slayer. While Chainsaw Man has a great story, this can be proved by the fact that Chainsaw Man Manga was already so popular even before it's anime released.

PerceptionOk85432025-12-27 17:16

In my opinion those two series can’t even be compared, DS is for 15 y olds who have their brains destroyed by tiktok and just want to see zoom fights with flashy animations. There is 0 substance to it and I was taken aback by its cringe humor, legit the blonde guy screaming and crying destroyed the entire series for me

gud_fellow2025-12-27 17:20

Agreed, Chainsaw Man is for more mature audience. But I'm truly sad to see how little recognition it has compared to Demon Slayer.

SadSecurity2025-12-28 12:44

KnY is carried by visual effects, not animation.

Salty1452025-12-27 17:10

I mean I didn't care to watch *Demon Slayer* and did CSM. Take that as you will.

gud_fellow2025-12-27 17:18

I'm happy to hear that as a Chainsaw Man Fan.

MonsterKiller1122025-12-27 17:12

Why? What's the point? There is absolutely no need to compare different anime. Nobody achieves anything by doing that.

gud_fellow2025-12-27 17:15

Humans love to compare things, it's our nature to compare. And comparing leads to faster growth and development.

citrussq2025-12-27 17:13

If you judge anime by story and characters, Chainsaw Man wins.If you judge anime by visual impact and hype, Demon Slayer wins. Both are good people just argue because they value different things.

Demon slayer infinity castle is better for people who want jaw dropping visuals, epic fights, and emotional highs without heavy introspection.

While chainsaw man reze arc is better for people who like character depth, emotional weight, and grounded storytelling.

For me, it was Demon Slayer Infinity Castle, the visuals, music, and nonstop intensity hit harder. I also really liked Akaza's backstory, it truly moved me.

gud_fellow2025-12-27 17:16

Now that's a good answer without shitting on other anime.

DragonspringSake2025-12-27 17:15

I dont think i’ve seen anyone shit on the chainsaw man movie as long as they’ve actually seen it.

gud_fellow2025-12-27 17:16

You are absolutely right!

VoidEmbracedWitch2025-12-27 17:23

Having seen both on the big screen, there's one area where I consider Infinity Castle to be more impressive and that's CG backgrounds + compositing. Everywhere else, from story to pacing to animation to character designs, it's Reze Arc all the way for me.

gud_fellow2025-12-27 17:29

I legit saw a guy on YouTube comment "How many records have chainsaw man broken compared to Demon slayer" on a short comparing Csm and ds. And the commenter just continued to meat ride demon slayer. I could tell he clearly didnt watch csm movie because he was saying stuff like ds animation and cinematography is better. This led me to create this post to get more honest opinions without being biased.

VoidEmbracedWitch2025-12-27 17:34

I don't bother with YT shorts and even less with comments on them... same goes for regular YT comments because half of them are dead internet theory in action

Gregariouswaty2025-12-27 17:30

Chainsaw Man is a better movie. Infinity Castle is a better 8 episodes in a trench coat pretending to be a movie.

steven48692025-12-27 17:30

Reze Movie was a 10/10 while Infinity Castle was a 8/10 for me, Infinty Castle dragged a lot and though Akaza's backstory was good I didn't like the conclusion of his fight. Reze Movie on the other hand was a banger from start to finish.

gud_fellow2025-12-27 17:33

I totally agree, the explosions going well with the soundtrack and everything. It was just so peak.

Eastern_Ride_8052025-12-27 18:02

I'm just writing to say I'm tired of the criticism about the pacing of The Infinite Castle. If Ufotable had rushed the movie and it was 1 hour 40 minutes long, people would be criticizing it for omitting content (like in the Haikyuu!! movie). Nothing pleases them.

Molmor_2026-01-06 06:59

Goomba

Seiryo-Tennan2025-12-27 18:05

Batman Ninja vs Yakuza mogs both

timpkmn892025-12-27 18:07

I didn't watch either of them

gud_fellow2025-12-27 18:08

Then Just don't comment, duh!

Ok_Joke46002025-12-27 18:41

So much hw man, reze > infinity castle done.

Shinigami_222025-12-27 18:43

you should post this in csm subreddit then demon slayer subreddit to see both sides

gud_fellow2025-12-27 19:25

Great Idea! I'll do just that.

Ready-Specific91192025-12-29 04:19

My man was getting hated on just for being curious😭 there is no reason people should be complaining about your post lol

gud_fellow2025-12-29 09:10

Thank you bro. 🤝

Ready-Specific91192025-12-29 20:49

Your welcome sometimes people like that bro its stupid lol

JobieWanTon2025-12-29 22:27

I watched the first season of demon slayer when it came out but I kinda think it is carried by the animation
