Ou Hon Turns the tables on Ma Nanci and friends, completely out-maneuvering them. And gets himself some nice respect from those around him.

And looks like this is where we end. Feels a bit of an awkward spot to end on. With Xin and his moment still waiting to come i assume. At least the next season has been announced. So hopefully not too far off.

Overall a great season, fantastic tension and back and forth on the battlefield. Certainly my personal favorite of the season

Slaan2025-12-27 23:09

Wait, this is the last episode?

ImperialDane2025-12-27 23:17

From what i can tell yes. They've announced a new season, which typically is only done at the end of a season. Plus from what i can find it was only meant to have 13 episodes.

So yeah.. Bit awkward overall.

MetalDue9202025-12-28 00:31

wait what?! no way it's end of season. o my god im so sad. that was by far my favourite show, i was waiting for it whole week. sad. time to play total war three kingdoms

AngelVeteran2025-12-28 04:51

When will they let Xin fight and get glory I’m getting tired of all these side characters

No_Presentation_19062025-12-27 21:01

So I was so confused they skipped a ton of plot points with this week's episode it gave me whiplash

Anime-only here. I felt it was easy to follow, but it could genuinely be because I wasn't paying attention which wouldn't be the first time. What plot points did they not cover that you felt they should have?

Te5s2025-12-27 21:48

I was legit surprised with that pep talk from Wang Ben. I'm only use to him saying a sentence here and there.

Rich_Search2822025-12-27 21:58

Quite gutted that it ended where it did, but overall an enjoyable season, hopefully Cour 2 comes quickly though.

Christopho2025-12-27 22:36

[S6 sequel/S7 already announced](https://myanimelist.net/news/73653093), which is good news but no exact date I could find.

MetalDue9202025-12-27 23:36

i hope Xin distinguishes himself as well. these 3 younglings might be the key to beat Li Bu (Riboku)

MetalDue9202025-12-28 00:31

end of season. sadge.

Jevano2025-12-28 01:12

Honestly I enjoyed this season but I feel there was a slight downgrade in bugdet/animation from the previous seasons. I went back and watched a bit of season 4 and the difference was actually noticeable.

Regardless, still looking forward to more seasons, love this anime.
Also can't stop talking about that ending song and visuals 10/10

Substantial_Pop54382025-12-29 15:41

It might just be that next season or the second cour of this season however they're handling that, gets the better animation budget.

colin86969082025-12-31 09:12

Your not wrong this was clearly outsourced in the same way that one punch man was, which is a very odd choice considering that this series basically invented/intruduced 3D animation into third generation anime which btw is everything from 2012 - current.

Leo-k2342025-12-28 03:01

This has literally been a peak anime for someone who has completed almost all the good animes.. can anyone suggest more hidden gems like kingdom? I dont seem to find anything on par with it.

_BMS2025-12-28 04:20

Golden Kamuy is very good but not talked about much on the English-internet.

And if you want another large war anime, then Legend of the Galactic Heroes is #1 in that.

s4Nn1Ng0r0shi2025-12-29 00:26

Golden Kamuy is so good… it’s fresh and funny and also has some cool references to actual history and some legends of the time (like Hijikata Toshizo surviving the end of Bakufu)

chaoslimits2025-12-28 03:21

Sigh, hope it's not too long of a wait. Nothing else quite hits like Kingdom.

Hawky692025-12-28 16:40

Such an edging season, I felt as out of patience as Xin is feeling right at the end, can't wait enough for xin to lop off some great general's head
Happy to see others succeed but please show me my dear shin army <3

Plah1sh3572025-12-29 12:21

Another peak season of kingdom! Too bad it ended in the mid of this arc, but S7 was announced so all is good!

Noob_shs2025-12-29 13:48

xin will get his time to shine

BornSeesaw98192025-12-30 05:40

Really wish they put more effort into the fighting animations

godrayden2025-12-30 05:50

This season ended in a hurry. I was expecting atleast the young commanders to take out another enemy's big general's head or some shit. This along with one punch man.. i wasnt satisfied with these both season ending episodes.

colin86969082025-12-31 09:09

So honestly, pretty bad season. It's disappointing to see a studio which basically invented/introduced 3d animation in third generation anime to then outsource their work to cheep Chinese laborer's in the same way that one punch man did.. this season was 95% 2D still shots, the actual battle only lasted from ep9-13 and those 5 episodes felt like maybe 1-2 episodes of a standard season.

StumpyFSR2026-01-02 03:34

(I haven't read the manga) This felt like a placeholder season. No substantial story advancement. Xin and Diao were annoying this season. Surprised by everything and felt more like a supporting cast. They took the back seat to progress Ben and Meng. Hopefully season 7 will be better.

DependentOnIt2026-01-02 06:16

Meh. Sucks we have to wait for the next season. Pretty mid all things considered. Also basically a huge downgrade animation wise compared to s3/4/5
