I feel pretty lost
Hi! I haven’t watched anime in several years, mainly because I didn’t have much time. Now I want to get back into it, but I feel pretty lost.
It’s possible that the last time I watched an anime series was during the pandemic.
What did I miss? What series should I watch? I don’t really care about the genre or anything like that.
Thanks a lot!

Go to my anime list and go to their seasonal listings. Click "sort by" and change it to score, then click filter and check any genres you like or are interested in. I normally wouldn't say score is so important but you don't want to hit a string of Duds coming back and lose interest.
Now you can either go through them in reverse starting from today or use their "Jump to" the pick a random year and season, maybe the year after you quit for a while, and search that.
Scroll what's there and pick 3 shows, 7 or above, from each season of that year, that look like you might enjoy and start there. Again user scores aren't everything but much better chance you find something quality of the genres you picked. That's my advice.
Any specific recommendation I give here would the lesser than you seeing things that look interesting to you, and trying them, IMO.
Except for Frieren, you should watch Frieren. lol
Bocchi the Rock,
Spy x Family,
Demon Slayer,
Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai,
and My Dress Up Darling (way better than the name would suggest, trust)
These were some of my starting anime, and I truly loved all of 'em. If you watch any of thse, lemme know what you think!
1. Frieren, kinda have Kino's Journey adventure vibe but in fantasy setting.

2.Dungeon Meshi, an adventure and cooking anime with deep main plot and superb world building.

3. Clevatess, finally a good dark fantasy adaptation, it's world are like onion layers, you keep getting surprised by the new revelation about it's world and setting.
