Most sakuga fight scenes are just overly flashy animation where you can barely tell what's going on.
I get that the flashiness is the point but by god, most of the time the fight choreography is way overshadowed by the flashiness.
I think the only sakuga fight scene I've seen where I didn't have to replay because of all the random BS on the screen was the 1st Levi vs. Beast titan fight in attack on titan. The choreography on that fight was just perfect.
I dunno just a pet peeve of mine, particularly the recent one piece stuff.

A few shows with more straight forward sakuga are Seirei no Moribito, Koutetsujou no Kabaneri, and Naruto.
Insane fluidity mixed with bold art shifts. Fights feel emotional, not just flashy, Studio Bones at their absolute peak.
There are a ton more anime. Also my opinion. Might he a hot take, but donghua has much better fight choreography than anime. I think it might be due to wuxia influences.
Flashing lights, bright particles, fast camera movement, yutapon cubes
2007, damn Im getting old.
There is plenty of series with good fight animation and good choreography out there. You’re just apparently only watching the bad ones, which might be a consequence of getting your reference material for “good fights” from the wrong place.
60% of action movies have so many unnecessary cuts that you can't even understand them properly. You have to use your imagination in a scene where the actor struggled to learn that cool move, which is a shame and a waste
