I would really like to find a similar anime with hard complex topics

I recently watched O maidens in your savage season and I’d like to find something similar like talking hard topics like a teacher grooming students a child desiring older people being jealous of others and the agony of people hating you for being pretty not only that but how they discover so much about their body and what they want and let go of the stigma around sex

I watched After the Rain after a similar recommendation (for things to watch after Scum's Wish) and while the plot shares some similarity with an O Maidens subplot, it felt very different (and not as enjoyable) to me. It's really more about 2 people (of very different ages) helping each other find meaning and slightly less about relationships and romance.

Scum's Wish is kinda like O Maidens, it refuses to sugarcoat how selfish and confused teenagers can be about their own bodies and feelings.

If you want anime that handle mature and uncomfortable themes seriously try aku no hana or Inuyashiki . Both focus more on psycology and moral conflict rather than shock value . Definitely for mature audiences.
