Has anyone else had trouble finding new anime after watching a lot of anime in a short period of time?
Since I started watching anime in May of this year, I've watched over 200 different anime, 3500+ episodes, and now I have a bit of trouble finding anime to watch. Did anyone else have this when they were on an anime phase? And the anime itself hasn't bored me yet.

I agree though some really great stuff in that decade.... I have to plug 80's and 90's as an absolute treasure chest of conceptually fascinating and beautiful anime but they can be unfortunately hard to find legally.
Either way each decade has had thousands of shows probably and hundreds of good to great ones - plenty for OP to keep occupied at this pace for years to come.
Although, this year has been a treat with Zatsu Tabi, Mono and Hibimeshi
I'd also mention that personally I'm not a fan of long running series generally so when the pool is bloated by anime with dozens, hundreds or thousands of episodes it kills my motivation.
I have watched 249 anime but I still have 60+ anime in my PTW list that I want to watch but haven't been able to start as so much good seasonal anime being released and also because of other works.
i am in a similar boat right now tho since nothing currently airing has my interest so im just waiting for new releases on my planned list

If only we get a season 3
At least that’s becoming the case with romance. I’m still finding things to watch, and I’m pretty much sticking to my preferred genres and not branching out much since I’ve refined my tastes a lot from when I first started watching.
I'm happy to recommend some if you let me know what genres you are looking for or open to at the moment, otherwise i'm kind of shooting in the dark.
Just from glancing at your MAL it looks like you haven't broken into very many darker genres or older anime yet. Those happen to be areas where I have found a lot of my all time favorites but it might not be up your alley.
also let me know if you are restricted by platforms or can access pretty much anything that makes a big difference.
Its good to slow down or take a break. Reflect on what you've seen, I'm sure you have an idea of what genre's you prefer. But also since you're still new to anime, think about what genres you havent seen and think of adding them to your list.
As others have said, look into older anime, theres so many great classics. Me, I'm a 90's fan and there are some tremendous classics that I know you'll find interesting.
Over time I realized that while anime is a medium, it's also a genre. Anime is kind of like an intricate lego set, but ultimately with finite pieces. The vast majority of shows use stock characters that are fairly one-dimensional, especially Shounen and Shoujo shows. Somewhere along the line you realize you're now bored of all of the lego pieces in the anime storytelling set, and re-arranging them into different patterns is not enough variety anymore.
Once you get there, I think the only thing you can do is step away until the concepts become novel again, to find shows that aren't just a re-configuration of the same parts, or find ones that use the same parts to do something interesting enough to counteract their staleness.
If you are looking for shows, I generally tend to go to the recommended ones of anime I liked on MAL, or sometimes when I stumble upon an interesting profile with high affinity I will see what they rated highly.
A lot of times I just watch stuff randomly now, because I see a post about it on reddit or it gets suggested here.
I definitely have way too many shows on my PTW and should start actually watching those soon.
