Getting parents into anime
I love anime, my favourite is AoT and Vinland saga and i am trying to get my dad and stepmom into anime, so far we’ve tried death note which my stepmom liked but dad didn’t, attack on titan which my dad liked and my stepmom didn’t, frieren which both parents liked and i have started to realise what their problem is - they don’t like:
Fan service
Over exaggerated emotions
Bad or annoying voice acting
Something thats too dark
What are anime that are lower in those traits that can help them get into anime? Keep in mind they cannot watch anything with subtitles so they’ll have to do dub so keep that in mind.

It has no Fan service
It's available in the Dub, and the Dub is great
No over exaggerated emotions, the fmc is non chalant
Just a little dark (political stuff), but not too heavy.
If your parents liked Frieren, they'll definitely like 'The Apothecary Diaries'
I think this is the type of shows that all age ranges can watch, from teenagers to elders. It's a great show, it'll finish before you know it

If it's different, then you can try out both and see which one you like.
**Erased** is a good mystery/thriller, if they like that kind of thing.
I'm not sure what would be considered "too dark" if they liked Death Note and AoT, so maybe **Monster**?
Depending on how tolerant they are of talking animals, **Beastars**.
And this one got a little weird at times so YMMV (though I guess it wasn't any weirder than AoT), but **Kokkoku** felt more like a live action show than an animated one IMO.
Uh...**Cowboy Bebop**, **Barakamon**, maybe **Natsume's Book of Friends**?
