What’s an anime you refuse to skip the opening for?

No matter how many episodes you watch in a row, you still let the opening play every time.

For me, it’s Attack on Titan. Even after rewatches, skipping it just feels wrong.

I honestly dislike that many people proudly skip intros after the first time

Most anime intros are made to be rewatched, and playfully hint towards things that happen in the show. A good intro should add to the show thematically and set the tone

A lot of effort goes into the song, the visuals, and it usually showcases some of the best animation of the show. It's like a minute and a half thesis statement. Skipping them feels like a shame

? Skipping an OP you don’t particularly vibe with after the first time is completely reasonable. Why would it be a shame not to sit through the same thing a dozen times if you don’t enjoy it, when you can skip and enjoy the show just fine

I never quite got the “never skip OP” thing I see here and I’m the type of guy who saves singular frames and scenes to appreciate/rewatch multiple times later

Truth is most OPs are fairly generic (EDs are a bit more varied when it comes to music), with the occasional one that actually stands out both visually and musically and is worth watching 12+ times over

...And to be fair, some of these “hints” are a bit much sometimes

The Kaguya-sama OPs are too peak to be skipped.

Steins;gate was definitely one that never got old for me.

I like all the Shangri La Frontier openings but the first one particularly felt unskippable because it created a very particular mood that improved every episode.

One I absolutely could not fathom skipping is the one for My Love Story with Yamada at Lv999.

Oh yeah, one more: Makeine. The frame of reference of someone who hates that one is a frame of reference I have zero interest in understanding or respecting.
