What now?? (Help me)
I just finished watching Solo Leveling and I was amazed ocer how good it was and how much I enjoyed it! It was my first time ever watching anime and after completing solo leveling I am thirsting for more great shows!
However, I don’t have any experience whatsoever with anime and honestly I thougt it was like kids shows (how ignorant of me).
But now I really want to watch more great shows. Anyone who can recommend som great shows for a new person to anime?

The users of this subreddit came up with [a chart of anime recommendations for newcomers and veterans](https://i.redd.it/0w1v880jtq661.png) and [an awesome longer flowchart](https://i.redd.it/vdzlkodz19c71.png). Maybe you can find something there that you'll like \^.\^

1. Jujutsu Kaisen (similar to solo leveling, a lot of aura farming and great action and complex system in general)
2. Demon Slayer (very good show with great characters and world building and ofcourse a lottt of action)
3. Death Note (This one is my personal favorite, its "action" is actually a psychological fight between the greatest detective in the world and a genius teenager with interesting idealism)
4. Kaiju no 8 (relatively new anime - very good with similar vibes to Solo Leveling)
5. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners (a 1 season show (for now) that is a must watch for everyone in my opinion)
also since you are new, if you havent I really suggest you watch the animes in their original dub (japanese)
thats it ty for reading
One of the most influential pieces of media. If you can handle mature content watch Akira.
Then the films of Satoshi Kon. In particular Perfect Blue and Paprika but Tokyo Godfathers and Millennium Actress are also great. Again mature content. A lot of modern American filmmakers have been heavily influenced by Kon including The Daniel’s, Christopher Nolan and Darren Aronofsky.
And this is just scratching the surface of action shows. For something less action focused maybe try a fantasy show like [Frieren: Beyond Journey's End](https://myanimelist.net/anime/52991/Sousou_no_Frieren), the historical show [Vinland Saga](https://myanimelist.net/anime/37521/Vinland_Saga) or the psychological detective show [Death Note](https://myanimelist.net/anime/1535/Death_Note). Again, this is very much still scratching the surface, but should be a good start.
If you enjoyed solo leveling, I highly recommend the light novels as well. You'll learn a lot of additional information that wasn't in the anime, and you can delve deeper into the story.
Kabaneri of the iron fortress 10/10

I probably missed a lot and there are definitely more, and the genres are all mixed as well.
If u want some really good comedy I suggest [Grand Blue](https://myanimelist.net/anime/37105/Grand_Blue) or [Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan](https://myanimelist.net/anime/33255/Saiki_Kusuo_no_%CE%A8-nan).
If u want system like stuff like its in solo leveling then go for [Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken](https://myanimelist.net/anime/37430/Tensei_shitara_Slime_Datta_Ken).
If you want some common well known anime then [Death Note](https://myanimelist.net/anime/1535/Death_Note), [Shingeki no Kyojin](https://myanimelist.net/anime/16498/Shingeki_no_Kyojin) or [Jujutsu Kaisen](https://myanimelist.net/anime/40748/Jujutsu_Kaisen).
If you want slow burners then go for [Sousou no Frieren](https://myanimelist.net/anime/52991/Sousou_no_Frieren) or [Vinland Saga](https://myanimelist.net/anime/37521/Vinland_Saga).
Always work.
