Are there any femboy focused animes?

i've been trying to find one thats specifically about femboys. I watched Fate/Apocrypha and Re:zero, started to really like felix and astolfo which made me try to find an anime thats specifically about femboys but i cant find ANY anime that actually has a femboy mc. I always find animes that at most just have a femboy side character but arent really about femboys.

Hi onferte, it seems like you might be looking for new anime to watch!

The users of this subreddit came up with [a chart of anime recommendations for newcomers and veterans](https://i.redd.it/0w1v880jtq661.png) and [an awesome longer flowchart](https://i.redd.it/vdzlkodz19c71.png). Maybe you can find something there that you'll like \^.\^

Depends what you mean exactly by femboy. Just feminine boys? Then maybe something like "Shounen Maid" would fit. Or would crossdress/trap-titles also fit the spec?

onferte2025-12-29 20:08

Just any character thats a guy who likes to act feminine and/or wears maid outfits and such. Would be ideal if the anime was like a slice of life of a femboy but i doubt that exists.

Asturaetus2025-12-29 20:15

Well, if I could come up with "Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru", "Princess Princess", "I My Me! Strawberry Eggs", "Himegoto", "Kaichuu!". Though some of the have a bit of initially coercion until the main characters settle into being comfortable in female clothes.

onferte2025-12-29 20:18

Not gonna lie that's prob gonna make it be more interesting and unique and even relatable for me. I just hope the coersion isnt weird.

Does Assassination Classroom count? Not specifically about 'femboys', but MC is absolutely androgynous

onferte2025-12-29 20:09

I mean yeah he is but the anime isnt about femboys, i did watch it and its pretty good tho.

…Slime? (ahaa)

JonnyArcho2025-12-29 20:09

100%

onferte2025-12-29 20:11

Already saw the entire anime.

casualbadideas2025-12-29 20:09

mariaholic and moyashimon have femboys as a major plot point. mariaholic has a femboy MC that abuses a tall lesbian masochist. moyashimon has the MC's best friend become a goth maid femboy out of nowhere

DrPlastico2025-12-29 20:10

Maybe

"Hourou Musuko" and

"Senpai wa Otokonoko"

SorryImBadWithNames2025-12-29 20:14

Stop! Hibari-kun is the OG "trans girl" manga/anime.

Himegoto is the one anime entirelly about crossdressing boys, and apparently that went so bad we never had another one in the "genre", ever.

Hourou Musuko is for actual trans representation, as the main character is a trans girl.

Outside of those you will mostly find femboys as minor or secondary characters in harem shows.

\[Edit\] Oh, and there is Princess Jellyfish. The deuteragonist in the show is one.

Better-Cookie47332025-12-29 20:19

As the main character no in the show with a prominent role yes. Oregairu, steins;gate, blend s, fruits basket , Komi can’t communicate, blue period, saihate no paladin, tensei shitara slime datta ken, maid sama. Sorry if I missed an important one

{Secret Princess Himegoto} is the most femboy of femboy animes. It's pretty lewd too. It's not the most high quality of anime, but it's pretty fun.

{Maria Holic} is a very silly anime that features a femboy in an all-girls school. Maria isn't the protagonist, but he's still a central character that drives the plot. Of the four, this one's my favorite.

{Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru} is a slightly straighter take on the "femboy in an all-girls school" premise.

{Princess Princess} is basically Ouran, but with crossdressing. It's super gay. Unfortunately it just kind of ends when things are getting really good.

If you're looking for something more on the romantic side, you'll have much better luck with manga. I can recommend a few of those too if you'd like.

onferte2026-01-05 17:33

i hope the lewd isnt on highschool dxd levels of lewd, though i probably wont read any manga

Sangraven2026-01-05 19:31

I haven't seen highschool dxd, but I doubt it's on the same level as that if its reputation is to be believed. Unrelated, but I forgot to mention that the episodes are quite short too

Sandtalon2025-12-30 04:01

In addition to the ones already stated, I would suggest Genshiken Nidaime.

Fedra_12025-12-30 22:54

Senpai wa Otokonoko. The whole story is centred around a femboy character.

Fantasy Bishoujo Juniku Ojisan to. One of the MCs is forced into transgender, so not really femboy, but still a pretty good show.
