Why this happened with me??
I want to ask a genuine question... Why these animes are making me cry everytime i watch? I'm 19M but I cried when I watched AOT ( Several Scenes Specifically The Mother Scene ) I cried watching Tokyo Revengers ( Hinata Several Scenez ) I cried watching Demon Slayer ( Several Scene Can't Count )... List goes very long.. but genuinely whyyy I can't control.. I'm not a cry baby I'm so popular in my circle even i was kind of bad boy during my college and school days..
Never knew the reason but tbh seem like Animes itself build connections to your emotions.

If you think men shouldn't cry from emotions watch JoJo's and see total chads crying like crazy ;)
Think of how a rice cooker/steamer has a vent so pressure can be released. That's what tears are--pressure valve for strong emotions. The "strongest" steamer still has one, and it's not malfunctioning when steam comes out.
And more empathy is good. It will help you understand other people's feelings better, which generally leads to getting along with them better.
you may be a bit sensitive but it's not bad it's just you.
It took me several years to figure it out (34y/o) but this question is very similar to "Why does food make me feel full?", because that's the purpose of food!
I have three pieces of media that has made me burst into tears, most other things get stuck in my throat but every once in a while, there is that one thing that will fucking break you, and you are happy that it did.
For me it was:
* A Silent Voice (manga, I don't want to watch the anime until I have a special someone to watch it with)
* Violet Evergarden (Anime, I had to cut the binging into two days because I cried almost every other episode)
* The House in Fata Morgana (Visual Novel, caught on camera too because I make YT videos)
Now I purposely seek out sad shows because that cathartic feeling of sadness is hard to beat, here's some real tearjerkers to keep it going: Look Back, Your Lie in April, and I Want to Eat Your Pancreas.
