Some Animes For Begginers
I want to start getting into anime and decided to ask reddit.
I haven't watched been thinking about getting into anime for a while, but I am honestly a bit confused on where to start considering how much there is out there. I really like the idea of it and the community it builds up seems appealing to me.
I am exactly what you would call a begginer, so I would love to hear what animes you guys would recommend as a good starting point. I'm open to most genres as long as the story is engaging.
Genres I prefer are action, adventure, romance and mystery.

Studio Ghibli movies (Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away!) if you like fantasy and magic.

Action, adventure, romance, mystery
Romance + Mystery: "The Summer When Hikaru Died"
Action + Adventure + Edgy: "Made in Abyss" (great soundtrack). Some will argue that it has mystery, but this isn't a story that gives answers to questions it raises.
Action + Adventure + Mystery: "Dungeon Meshi" and "Shadow House"
Action + Adventure + Romance + Comedy: "Dandadan" (that said, despite wide praise from the community, the exact same community yells bloody murder whenever anyone recommends to newbs just because of two instances of aliens attempting unsuccessful sexual assault on one of the protagonists, apparently new viewers aren't allowed to touch it, I recommend watching it anyways)
