I'm pretty sure my mom likes murder mystery, but she also really liked chainsaw man cuz it had a lot of layers and stuff. I don't really have a preference myself, I love everything, but my mom isnt a huge fan of fighting (which is weird since she liked chainsaw man but idk)

Maybe try Death Note and Monster, over 25 episodes though for both - so maybe it might be too long for her. Death Parade as well you could try. Not really a murder mystery but it's about dead people who's souls get judged, really good and only 12 episodes. Erased is also a solid anime to try that's short as well.

Apocalypse Hotel is a fantastic show about Robot hotel workers waiting for humans to come back after a disaster. Phenomenal in many ways: plot, directing, visuals, humor, sad emotions.
Yatagarasu: Raven Doesn’t Choose It’s Master is a cool show about an ancient Asian emperor choosing a wife while avoiding assassination from political enemies. The unique part is that everyone is actually a Crow who can transform into people. Has the best twist in fiction that I’ve seen.
Ruri Rocks is about a high school girl who discovers a love of minerology after meeting PhD and College students in Geology. Very nice visuals.
Death Parade is about a supernatural bar and the lives of its visitors.
Odd Taxi is about a depressed walrus taxi driver who gets caught in a big crime. Excellent writing.

Kusuriya no hitorigoto es un 10/10 de opción en este caso. Viene a ser una telenovela JAJAJA. Tambien recomiendo Nana, pero si le gustan las series más de acción te recomendaría Catlevania (aunque no sea de anime) es buena y está terminada.

I don't think that is very family-friendly 😄... I recommend Spy Family. If you want something shorter, Death Note. If you want shounen, there are plenty of options, but I'd pick One Piece to watch with my mom.

I will always recommend Dororo (not dorohedoro) as long as you're into a big amount of demon killing. Violet Evergarden is also a favorite of mine, honestly I don't think there's any inappropriate visuals for parent/child to watch but it is probably good to check that out, just in case.
