Outbreak company
No-Theory-83682025-12-30 15:20
That's not it sadly

Could also be World Trigger. There are a couple of "gate opens up and military-esque folk fight it" the key difference to GATE is focus on pure military and them actually going into the gate, rather than it being a Shonen has secret power to save the world from monster coming from a gate.
No-Theory-83682025-12-30 15:18
No the whole army went in the gate and built a warbase if i remeber correctly
BorderKeeper2025-12-30 15:28
Well as a big GATE/Military enthusiast I don't know and I think I would have known if one existed, unless it's REALLY old like Zipang. The only one that kinds fits is Outbreak company but apparently that's not it

BorderKeeper2025-12-30 15:42

No-Theory-83682025-12-30 15:45
Man this is awkward sry to dissaponit u but it was the GATE my memory was just fuzzy
BorderKeeper2025-12-30 15:45
lol I was about to say if you maybe thought of gate season 2 or something

* **Otherside Picnic** has an arc about a military unit getting lost in another world for weeks/months, they built a base. But the MCs are girls.
* **80,000 Gold** has an arc where mercenaries go to another world to defend a human town against monsters. But again the MC is a girl and they didn't build a base.

You should change the flair to "help" instead of "what to watch".
