Taking a leap of faith

I have been trying to watch or just grasp a taste of monster or berserk but I am unfamiliar with which platform to go to. Been trying for ages to start a manga but just do not know how aur just idk
Currently trying to go for monster and then to berserk maybe. So going with manga for berserk but for monster I would love some suggestions like which one should I opt for
MANGA OR ANIME. Pls give a reason to your suggestion and NO SPOILERS man I got some for berserk but not monster I humbly request pls spare me

I tried both versions of Monster, the anime was so incredibly slow that I just couldn't stand it.. and I love slow shows. The Manga imo was better for as far as I read.

For berserk it is no question, anime that adapts most of the series is garbage.

Its rather old with pretty uninteresting visuals. And as I mentioned it is much slower than the Manga. If you really like the sotry then I guess you can watch it after but doubt that will happen.

the anime is great. i disagree that its visuals are uninteresting or that its too slow. it is a slow burn, but that pays off immensely.

Watch the berserk 1997 anime before reading the manga, its really good

The 1997 anime adapts the golden age arc really well. The music is really really good, it improves the dark medieval vibe so much.

There's no reason to read the golden age arc instead of watching it. You can always skim through some of the scenes in the manga to see the detailed drawings.

It's easy to continue the manga after the anime, it continues at chapter 87. You dont need to listen to hardcore berserk fans that say you miss something important because its not really true...

I only watched Monster anime and it took FOREVER. And not that I don't mind watching things subbed but going through 70+ episodes is just too much reading for me. But that's only on Netflix. I know there is a dubbed version out there somewhere. Basically, I think Monster might be better suited as a manga.
Have yet to see Berserk but its on my list.
