>Thank you very much for your continued support of the TV anime *Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle*.
>Regarding Episodes 11-13, where broadcast has been postponed, we are now planning to air and stream them in the coming spring. Once the detailed broadcast and distribution schedules have been finalized, we will make a further announcement on the official website and the official X account.
>As the Chiramune Production Committee, we will continue to work closely and in full cooperation with the animation studio feel. and all related staff, uniting our efforts to carry the production forward. All those involved are committed to meeting the expectations of everyone who has been looking forward to the series, and we sincerely ask for your kind understanding.
Caydos282026-01-07 05:50
Yo is this like Northern Hemisphere Spring, because when I search it up online for Australia it still says Spring.
Environmental_Iron892026-01-12 06:30
Why so many production delays? I felt like you guys were the only fall show that fell behind and never caught up. Whats going on over there?
thisisdropd2025-12-30 17:05
To think the delay ended up having a huge ripple effect for the second cour. Split cour seasons usually have one broadcast season break in between so we would expect the second to begin airing in spring but with this it has been pushed back to summer at the earliest.
I assume they failed to secure broadcasting slots in winter as it happened on a short notice.
Not complaining about it, though. I'd rather wait longer than having to consume a half-baked product.
Marcus-ichiJo2025-12-30 17:15
If cour 2 is in summer, I can them airing the rest 3 right at the end of spring to go straight into cour 2, would also help V3 flow massively.
nithinsamuel82025-12-31 06:40
I'm pretty sure it not about quality just the fact that the delay caused the show to not have any TV slots cause of the upcoming winter slots so the only time they get is during the spring airing.
Marcus-ichiJo2025-12-30 17:05
Honestly the delay seems to have do good for Episode 6-10 animation quality, hope the keep it up
tripleaamin2025-12-30 17:10
This is definitely a series; when we get the final product, it will definitely look great. Waiting to get them all is the tricky part.
tripleaamin2025-12-30 17:08
So the question is, will the whole cour be broadcast, or just those episode.
A follow-up to that would be, will it just be episodes 11-13? Because 11 should be starting a new arc. When you consider that 4 episodes were spent on the first one and 6 on the 2nd arc. Will episodes that were planned for cour 2 come here? Since I don't see an ending spot that makes sense with just 3 episodes.
In all honesty, I feel they should have tacked on the remaining episodes of cour 1 onto cour 2.
ScottJC2025-12-30 17:08
if only OPM could've been delayed more, mind you, probably wouldn't have made any difference unless the root cause of the bad production was removed.
mr_beanoz2025-12-30 17:29
I thought the root cause is more due to the crunch.
plsdontattackmeok2025-12-30 17:33
I wonder what’s the cause it is, who pressured that ended up like this?
cosmiczar2025-12-30 18:14
What's been confirmed by people with contacts in the industry is that OPM S3 had a different director attached, but for an undisclosed reason he left the production and JC Staff had to scramble to find someone else. By the time they lock in a new director it was very close to the release date of the anime and the production committee didn't care to delay its release so the new director had to rush preproduction and the drawings of storyboards as much as possible, and even then it's still wasn't enough time for active production of the animation, which was also done in a very big crunch these last few months so that *something* could have gone to air.
awesomenessofme12025-12-30 17:10
Having this sort of delay when they already had plans for a split cour release has to be a major blow. And wasn't it already delayed in the first place? Must be crazy stuff behind the scenes.
Marcus-ichiJo2025-12-30 17:20
From Yume-sensei’s Konorano 2025 interview Gagaga been very hands-on with the production of the series and seems to expect the very best adaptation of their golden child hence the first 1.5 years delay. feel was chosen for their works on Oregairu, a safe choice, and I would say Chiramune is by far their best animated work even from the first 5 eps’ “low-quality”. However, all of that improvement then seems so miniscule compared to Gagaga’s Makeine Anime Adaptation from A1, which changed everything, including Gagaga’s standards which probably cause this another delay.
Curious_North_84792025-12-30 17:27
Really liked it at first, then it got too pretentious for it's own sake
plsdontattackmeok2025-12-30 17:34
I guess they make perfectionists too much.
zairaner2025-12-30 17:30
> And wasn't it already delayed in the first place? Must be crazy stuff behind the scenes.
I assume this delay is exactly because of that first delay; that they no longer have a broadcast spot in the new season starting next week.
Marcus-ichiJo2025-12-30 17:32
No, that first delay is not related to this, since it pushed Chira back from a summer/fall release back in 23.
zairaner2025-12-30 17:42
I assumed we were talking about [this delay](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/1oob51v/chitose_is_in_the_ramune_bottle_episode_6/), was there a different delay before?
Marcus-ichiJo2025-12-30 17:53
Yes, before that, the initial delay
awesomenessofme12025-12-30 18:03
I counted that as part of the same delay we're looking at here. No way they could have just kept airing immediately with the way TV contracts work.
zairaner2025-12-30 18:14
I see!
1032patrick2025-12-31 02:09
So delay ain't about production issue again, improve quality and stuff? They just don't have a slot?
awesomenessofme12025-12-31 02:11
Yeah, it's a knock-on effect, at least as far as I know. Even if it's been smooth sailing ever since then, they only had the timeslot booked for this season, meaning it was always going to happen after the earlier delay.
1032patrick2025-12-31 02:21
Thank goodness. Let's be real, another delay to improve quality can get on our nerves but this is justified.
UnhappyComparison9372025-12-30 20:49
this delay is because they dont have a TV slot anymore
awesomenessofme12025-12-30 21:16
I was commenting on the situation as a whole. Ever since the initial delay earlier in the season, I figured something like this would happen.
UnhappyComparison9372025-12-31 02:17
ohhh then yeah it was probably quite hectic production
interesting considering they had another show air at the same time that had not issues (granted seems to be quite outsourced)
and summer pockets that had 26 episodes and they completed all of them before it aired
1032patrick2025-12-31 02:07
dude this stuff can be irritating no matter who defends the show. delay after delay and they say it is fine because of quality.
daspaceasians2025-12-30 17:23
A shame but at least the delays made the show look very good.
1032patrick2025-12-31 02:03
but another 3 months?
PendragonDaGreat2026-01-02 21:51
The way TV slots work in anime they probably literally don't have a time to air it
TheBravesDH2025-12-30 17:23
The quality has remained good, so I’m all for waiting on quality. I just hope ep 10 can wrap up this never ending stalker arc lol.
alexjg422025-12-30 17:27
Out of curiosity(and do forgive my ignorance), but how much of Anime is consumed via TV broadcast slots in Japan versus streaming online? Do Japan still mostly consume anime via TV broadcasts?
In my country we've basically moved most of our viewing to online streaming so it feels a bit strange seeing anime availability still being determined by TV broadcast slots. It reminds me of when some shows episodes gets delayed due to sports events like tabletennis tournaments.
BusouDrago2025-12-30 17:36
Japan airs their series on TV. They need to secure a timeslot for x number of episode. This brings sponsors to support said series. Now there timeslot is used for a different anime airing this Winter season ( January to March)
Mayanaka Heart Tune will take its spot on Tuesday
https://myanimelist.net/anime/61211
For streaming it's put on TVer/Abema U Next and other platforms after initial TV Broadcast

1032patrick2025-12-31 02:11
If quality stuff again, I would be a little irritated but most of the guys said, they don't have a slot anymore which is justified
Puzzleheaded_Play8252025-12-30 17:54
Without spoiling anything is the most current ep the end of the arc was planning on bingeing the series but considering this is getting delayed again considering starting if it doesn’t end of a cliff hanger
abandoned_idol2025-12-30 18:30
Viewers seem pretty disappointed in it. High expectations, and no delivery.
I skipped to episode 8, and it seems like a cheesy and pretentious Male Gary stu saves the teenage drama day.
Sure, go for it. And let me know what you think of it.
el_morris2025-12-30 18:10
Honestly, after today's episode I'm done with this anime, was interesting at the start but that's just it.
zool7142025-12-30 19:13
Yeah was expecting Tomozaki or Makeine levels but didn’t really hit for me. This delay would probably not even make me pick it back up
Marcus-ichiJo2025-12-30 23:15
Putting Tomozaki on the same level as Makeine is crazy to me… almost disrespectful to compare PJ9’s to A1’s. I would say animation wise Chira is better than Tomozaki, plot is up for ppl’s taste.
zool7142025-12-30 23:47
I don’t agree. Maybe not in overall but they’re similar in that they brought something different and interesting
Drayenn2025-12-30 19:21
Havent watched today's ep, but this show is just so.. ordinary. The bullying plot is dragginf out the the MC being popular and loved by alk girls is getting really old. I expected a mentality shift seeing how the ending animation has Chitose despairing/suffering... But nope.
BlooregardQKazoo2025-12-30 19:42
I didn't even realize there was an episode today. I'm pretty sure I'm out after [last week spoiler] >!the MC helped a girl last week by trying to rape her. And the show treated it like it was titilating!!<
[spoiler continued] >!Yes I know that from his perspective he wasn't actually trying to rape her, but from her perspective he was and the whole point was for her to fight him off as if he was. And then afterwards she was flirting with him and thanked him for it.!<
awesomenessofme12025-12-31 02:09
What the fuck. I was already not interested because it didn't pass the sniff test for me (among other issues), but that just sounds insane.
BlooregardQKazoo2025-12-31 04:51
I wish I could say that I exaggerated what happened or unfairly described it. But no.
[Chitose spoilers] >!The MC is trying to help a girl and has decided that her problem is that she freezes up when faced with confrontation. The girl is coming on to him, so he pins her down and undoes her shirt while she says something like "no, not like this." The MC keeps going, and she repeatedly tells him "no," until the girl kicks him in the groin to stop him.!<
And the show didn't portray it as harrowing, it tried to make it sexy.
And then later in the same night the girl comes out of the bath wearing only a shirt, flirting with him. And at some point she thanks him for helping her. Of course, neither of them care that he helped her by [spoiler] >!physically forcing himself on her until she felt forced to physically fight him off.!<
I try to not make snap decisions so I just walked away. When the new episode came out today I just wasn't interested, so it looks like I'm done.
awesomenessofme12025-12-31 04:55
And I thought the worst issue with it might be the MC being a pretentious egotistical douche.
Pretend-Habit34032026-01-01 20:47
Also what's with the long-winded monologues...using unnecessary metaphors for mundane stuffs..😭😭🫣
TermEnvironmental8122025-12-31 05:02
What the hell. I lost interest when I saw image of him break the window glass(?) in early episode, and now I'm completely convinced not to watch this
Zio_Benito2025-12-30 18:30
Quality has been great every episode, so not complaining at all. I hope the animators can get their rest to make this good of animation
BaytaCosmico2025-12-30 18:37
Was already so-so on this show and all these delays are not helping at all. Maybe it's a sign to just drop this for now.
1032patrick2025-12-31 02:05
some likes to defend..It is fine to maintain quality. But for me, this kinda of stuff just makes you lose interest.
polmeeee2025-12-30 19:02
Wanted to impulsively say I might as well drop it, then I remember One Frame Man S3. Yea take your time, quality > quantity.
SnabDedraterEdave2025-12-30 19:10
This is just for episodes 11-13.
We already know Studio Feel will also release a part 2 for this series (i.e. episodes 14 onwards), but we don't know whether this will also be in the Spring 2026 season.
It might also be possible that they rebroadcast episodes 1-10 again before rolling out episodes 11-13, which will come out in June, so instead of 3 months, we could possibly be waiting for 6 whole months for the new episodes.
Evening_Iron33762025-12-30 19:41
I don't have any intentions of watching this anime, but at least this isn't getting the same treatment as Uncle from Another World or Our Last Crusade Season 2. In the first example, Uncle from Another World got trapped in development hell because of COVID and not many people watched it as they could've had. I was one one of those people but when it was fully completed I got around to it and it was a blast. In the second situation they released up to four episodes bad quality episodes of Our Last Crusade and the viewers rioted causing them to redo all four episodes. I'm still only halfway through Season 1 of that show. That's the only experience I have really had with longer delays, but waiting on four episodes shouldn't be too much of a problem if you all are intent on seeing this show through. You could have also ended up with a The New Gate situation where the staff itself quit halfway through for being treated bad, forcing the studio to hire all new people quickly and just finish the half season they started as is.
1032patrick2025-12-31 02:12
No more rebroadcast please.....
SnabDedraterEdave2025-12-31 03:55
I think you've got a duplicate reply.
1032patrick2025-12-31 02:12
No more rebroadcast please.....
UnhappyComparison9372025-12-30 20:51
this is not another delay like the first one
i think they just dont have a TV slot anymore
HolyDragSwd25002025-12-30 21:18
Correct.
Winter anime season starts next week.
JoelMahon2025-12-30 22:10
still a better production than OPM S3 😎
1032patrick2025-12-31 02:01
Damn it. They did it again!
1032patrick2025-12-31 02:02
Production issue again and improve quality?
HolyDragSwd25002025-12-31 07:57
Timeslot
They can’t air anyone episode in the Winter Season. Another anime takes its place on Tuesday
NyamuAsakura2025-12-31 12:34
Es un poco feo cuando eso pasa esperar demás para ver los últimos capítulos de un anime pero ojala valga la pena la espera.
BreaksKnees2026-01-01 04:11
POSTPONED? no no not the anime i just heard about and looks cool.
what will i do until then.
larana11922026-01-02 03:07
cringe ass anime with delay lmao
AdShoddy41722026-01-03 01:42
This is ridiculous! Another delay?!
broken-ssoul2026-01-07 02:03
shit like this is why I'll never comprehend making media at the same time you're releasing it. 13 episodes spread out over nearly an entire year isn't really a good release model, people's attention span isn't that long.
It's probably indicative of the exploitive practices of the industry, but it consistently just creates issues and undermines the overall reception and how it's received.
this anime isn't bad, I enjoy it quite a bit, and I will watch it once it's all released - and don't get me wrong, quality is absolutely important. so in my mind they should focus on making quality content, THEN work out the releases and streaming bs. when you do it at the same time, the risk of issues arising just compound exponentially, and I've seen a lot of shows hit the end of their budget before it can all be released, ultimately making the production quality suffer as well. it lacks foresight imo, and it seems like really poor practice.
Euphoric_Key_56212026-01-07 04:51
Zom 100 is in the Ramune Bottle
ARDQ072026-01-14 19:28
Well then please make more episodes or start to production of season 2 afterwards I'm waiting for 2 weeks and learned this right now 😭
8BanRamen2026-01-23 11:01
I’m very conflicted. This show is set in my hometown. It is advertised in our local train station. Every location is less than 10 minutes from my house. Fukui is really cool! But somehow we have some of the lowest tourism. So I was very happy to hear a show based here, but it is abit weird…
