I have written this poem exploring the romantic aspects of different anime, where love grows in the shadows of the plot.
"Between the Lines"
Not in grand speeches, nor roses in hand,
But in stolen glances, the quiet unplanned.
Like Kaguya’s schemes where a smile hides a war,
Or Loid and Yor, unsure what they’re reaching for.
A Hinata glance in the heat of the fight,
Her courage like lanterns that soften the night.
A Vegeta nod, proud but too proud to say,
Yet standing beside her at the end of the day.
Or shadows like Sasuke and Sakura keep,
Where pain and devotion run silent and deep.
A soft, shy “later” from Kanao’s eyes,
That meets Tanjiro’s heart under endless skies.
Or Goku, confused, yet so certain it’s true —
“My heart knows the words,” though he never quite knew.
The world still moves forward, the battles press on,
But between all the chaos, a thread is drawn.
And when it arrives — that confession at last,
It blooms from the roots of a long, patient past.
For love, when it lingers in the space between scenes,
Is sweeter than all of the overblown dreams.
It lives where the plot and the heart intertwine,
Not loud, but eternal — a love drawn in lines.
