What an anime your friend really likes but you hate (or other way around)
Drop them down im genuinely curious, for me all my friends like one piece and think db should replace bleach in the big 3, but ive always thought bleach was the best out of the big 3. (my opinion dont bash me 🙏)

Absolute ballsweat. Terrible show.
Everything after the Paradis reveal just felt so myeh.
That finally OP was a banger, though. So at least I can credit the show for introducing me to SiM!
Puella Magi Madoka Magica is up there, 100%. Great universe, interesting art style, BANGIN music.
Gurren Lagann is just that good. Rewatched it a few months back and it holds up.
And then gotta shout out the GOAT: One Piece. But it would be a bit mean to make you watching 1500 episodes 😂. So just check out those first two, if you haven’t already!
they are too main stream for me I guess.
I like stuff like Chitose in the ramune bottle and Sword art online, Isekai's, stuff like that.
Nothing quite hits like a good romcom while you remember how alone you are.
It's thanks to it that I watch other food themed animes. e.g. "Fermat Kitchen" (this one is much sillier though
Other shows would be:
* 86 part 2 (I dont think it is inherently bad, I just can't stand where the show was going).
* re:zero (I simply got annoyed over the characters, not a bad show at all, especially the first couple seasons).
* SaO in its entirety (how do people actually say this show is any good... It baffles me).
* Higurashi, the newest season (I hate the dialouge and forced exposition as if the viewer is 12yo. I cannot say anything about the prior seasons).
Edit: Not an anime, but I will add Arcane season 2. One of the worst pieces of media from a sequel I have seen, but my buddies seem to not dislike it even a little.
86 I haven't watched myself yet but I've only heard good things about it.
SAO Season 1 I've heard is great but just spirals downhill season 2, I've only in 2025 started watching super mainstream stuff so I need to catch up on what I've missed these past 5 years 😭
Anohana (I really like this show, but apparently my friend could not watch it. He got bored).
Jaku-chara Tomozaki-kum (I feel that the story is somewhat well written where I can see this actually happening. On top of that, the characters actually feel real, which is weird considering the type of show it is and what it is trying to tell. Sadly, my friend who watched it with me, disagrees and thinks its mid).
Dress up darling (I kinda get it, the show felt too ecchi and he don't like it if it is just ecchi to be ecchi. I would have to say that the show could have been paced better so that it is not just immediately jumped the gun with nudity concepts).
Oreimo (Yea read the synopsis and you might get why people will not like this show).
At the same time they dropped my favorite show, Shinekai Yori, and never gave it a fair chance
Frieren im very surprised you didn't like it, I've never seen Shinekai Yori but after searching it up I like that artstyle a lot, maybe I'll give it a watch myself!
I think it honestly just lends itself better in novel format.
The thing is, battle shounen is one of my least favourite types of anime and I really dislike all of her favourite shows. I feel kinda bad about it but it is what it is :')
My favourite show this year was Hikaru Ga Shinda Natsu.
I like it for many reasons, but it also speaks to me personally. It's easy for me to empathise with the characters. It was really touching. But yeah, it's all a matter of taste in the end. My shounen-loving bestie probably wouldn't get much out of my favourite shows either :')
And it wasn't just Light. Misa was a misa-take. Melo and Near are worthless and incompetent. The entire family might as well have been on vacation to Pluto for all the good they did. Mikami had the charisma of an ant colony.every single human character would have been best served by being fed into a wood chipper feet first.
mello and near arc really wasnt that bad but I did drop it then pick it up 2 years later restarting the show. i only like near's character design.
I have a buddy who swears it is this deep, amazing masterpiece. I am totally fine with him liking it but...
Cmon man it is massively carried by the stellar production. Which IS very impressive. But that alone rarely entertains me.
I on the other hand love Gurren Lagann with all my heart. Stuff about the indomitable human spirit always gets to me, Kamina and Simon are amazingly well written, and I love the vibe of the world a ton.
My friends don't care for it whatsoever. Alas...
You can tell our anime choices just literally never are going to overlap.
The one exception is Ruri Rocks, which he watches only for the educational parts, while I do it for both the educational parts and the cute girls and their excellent characters.
Clashrrom of the elite ami hermano le encantan pero ami personalmente no.
