I could see the Ippo comparison at least in where they're pulling the fights from. Ippo's debut match he \[Ippo Debut Match Result\]>!won by switching to southpaw.!< Then she basically finished with the \[Future Ippo Move\]>!Dempsey Roll!<.
The ending [definitely felt familiar](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxrTu7fT1FY&t=67s)

Nanoha in this economy.
MarkS00N2025-12-31 05:50
Nanoha's and Fate's faces are too alluring, they got ray beamed...

messem102025-12-31 13:57
Well the franchise *is* getting a new anime sometime next year. [Teaser Video](https://youtu.be/N-ra-1vbWwo)
Born_Usual9982025-12-31 01:21
female characters with actual agency and without unnecessary fanservice?!?
InevitableTension6992025-12-31 02:35
There's lots of fanservice, the fact they don't have a giant bruise from being hit is fanservice. Did you see the Sydney Sweeny movie where she plays the boxer? 0% attractions after getting a pounding
Zado1912025-12-31 01:21
Sorry but the only scene I need to see form this is when broke them girls faces in the school
3v1lkr0w2025-12-31 02:52
Oh nice! A Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha spinoff!
Crazy-Plate30972025-12-31 08:33
It's (Vivid Strike) actually a spinoff of a spinoff/sequel (Vivid) of a spinoff (Nanoha).
Nachtwandler_FS2025-12-31 10:26
I just concider it S5. Yeah, it had another main cast switch but it still continues the main storyline at some degree.
palparepa2025-12-31 16:23
Isn't Nanoha a spinoff itself?
Crazy-Plate30972025-12-31 16:24
Of Triangle Hearts 3, yes.
Hence the last spinoff in the sentence.
FirstSineOfMadness2025-12-31 03:06
So this is basically saying pedigree beats hard work? Just from the little context they give
crobemeister2025-12-31 07:27
Nah, the blonde girl puts in insane hard work BECAUSE she knows she has a frail body. The white hair girl believes she's the only one that's had it rough. It's kind of her struggle throughout the whole season, realizing other people have their own struggles and that she isn't owed anything.
Nachtwandler_FS2025-12-31 10:20
Which us ironic, as everyone who have seen Nanoha Strikers knows that Vivio (blond girl) had it worse probably. Also, she is gandicapped due to that seadon events and gas to compensate it with training and risky techniques.
Crazy-Plate30972025-12-31 19:21
Nah. Nanoha as a series specifies while pedigree is important, hard work is more important.
Nanoha and Fate in Season 1 themselves are said to be "Once in a lifetime" talents but still loses out to Chrono, who while is weaker than them in raw output, but knows his way around enough to walk circles around them. Even Nanoha and Fate don't sit on their laurels and keep up their training to become better.
Amongst the 4 Forwards in StrikerS, Teana struck out as the most normal one of them. Yet she defeated 3 Combat Cyborgs (while injured), the only one to get to S-rank, and can match Nanoha in a Starlight Breaker shootout.
The problem with Jill is that she emphasises too much on Rinne's innate strength and fail to instill techniques to get around when strength alone isn't enough to overcome.
If Rinne is already having problems against Vivio, she will have greater problems against Einhart, who is much more experienced than Vivio.
MumrikDK2025-12-31 04:10
Without any of the good stuff from Ippo, I see.
BosuW2025-12-31 05:03
Damn she was really hitting her with Mashiba's flicker jab spam lol
I really need to get into Nanoha
chris100232025-12-31 09:28
You should, it's great.
Crazy-Plate30972025-12-31 06:44
Vivio isn't born into inconvenience?
Oh girl, how wrong can you be.
I wouldn't call a living weapon to move another WMD just an inconvenience...
GameDevCorner2025-12-31 08:02
Yeah Rinne was woefully ignorant about her. Vivio probably went through more pain at the age of 6 than most people go through their entire life. I'm not going to spoil it for those who don't know her backstory in StrikerS but yeah, that girl has seen some shit.
Crazy-Plate30972025-12-31 08:32
Personally I wouldn't blame Rinne being ignorant about Vivio's true story. Her role in the JS incident was probably covered up by the Bureau so that Vivio can grow up like a normal kid.
But Rinne was too proud to think that only her went through hell, and not others. That's her ignorant part.
Mistral-Fien2025-12-31 18:57
Rinne only knows the unclassified records regarding Vivio. She doesn't even know the identities of the government officials who raised her. :P
Nachtwandler_FS2025-12-31 10:25
A reminder that new franchise entry will air next year (for anyone unaware about it or Nanoha franchise in general).
heimdal772025-12-31 13:03
I particularly like that part where the one girl snaps the bullies arm and smash's the other bullies face into a locker leaving a dent.
SoulStriker342026-01-01 01:29
isn't it the one with the bullying scene
Ok_Emu83972026-01-01 02:46
They’re wearing a little too much clothing for me dog, not gonna lie 🫣
TanyaTheEvill2026-01-01 15:41
Vivid Strike is one of my favorite anime out of the Nanoha series
