That time I got reincarnated as a slime.
I know the name makes it sound like a slop but it is a very famous light novel ongoing from 2015. It is the most sold light novel.
It has world building, action, and also additional slice of life content. I feel like you should give atleast 2 episodes a shot.
North-Watch-88752025-12-31 08:42
I’ve seen it. Can’t wait for 6 cours of it
manhwamangareader2025-12-31 08:46
This anime is one of my favourites, no matter what anyone says. I remember watching all 50 episodes in one day. And this was the first and only time I read a novel (and completed it.).
Yeah I need to touch grass .

I was about to propose the same, but specifically [the original series (which is apparently 51 episodes?)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Eureka_Seven_episodes) and then as an extra exercise, watch the movies that came after and wonder what on earth they were trying to do: is it me or haven't they been able to carry the same vibe from the series over into the movies?

Higurashi is a good shout in that respect over itd OG 2 seasons it’s about 50 episodes and more to dig into for you if you like it.
Monogatari however will be my key recommendation? 3 seasons of superb writing, adding snd cinsmatography, really is designed with Japanese cultural snd social themes at the heart of it. Close to 150 episodes.
Tsuruchi_Mokibe2025-12-31 08:54
Since many of the more common shounen titles have already been mentioned, I'll toss in some sports titles for a change:
I don't know if it's at quite 50 episodes yet, but Shangri-la Frontier is an excellent take on the VRMMO trope. Each season is like 24 - 26 episodes and there's 2 seasons so far so it's got like 48 - 52 episodes.

How about some sports anime? Someone mentioned Eyeshield 21 already and I support that suggestion, so here's a few more:
Inazuma Eleven (2008 - 127 eps) - Soccer/Football team of misfits with shonen power moves
Cross Game (2009 - 50 eps) - baseball with some childhood friend romance
Prince of Tennis (2001 - 178 eps) - super talented tennis boy climbs his way up
Slam Dunk (1993 - 101 eps) - Basketball, delinquent-like teen joins high school team
The Basketball Which Kuroko Plays (2012 - 75 eps) - Similar to Slam Dunk
Touch (1985 - 101 eps) - baseball with some childhood friend romance / love triangle
