I'm looking for an anime that can bring some kind of warmth
Hey everyone, I know this is probably a common question, but I’m looking for an anime that can really make me feel something.
I’m not depressed or anything—I just want a show that gives you that warm, calm, content feeling, like a genuine warmth in your chest. One of the only shows that’s ever done that for me is Mob Psycho 100. Every time I rewatch it, I feel this sense of bliss and comfort, and honestly it changed my life for the better (yeah, I know that sounds corny, but it’s true).
At the same time, I’m also looking for something that can hit emotionally the way Violet Evergarden did. What’s interesting is that I didn’t cry while watching it—I only cried after I finished everything, movies included. And it wasn’t really sadness. I wasn’t sad it was over, and I wasn’t sad that I couldn’t experience it IRL. It was something I genuinely can’t fully explain.
The closest I can describe it is:
Like my body finally letting something out.
Being overwhelmed by meaning rather than loss.
Feeling like Violet’s journey brushed up against unspoken parts of my own life.
And realizing how deep human emotion can be.
Things in my life have been kind of down lately, and I feel like I really need to experience something like that again—something that can make me feel calm, content, and emotionally grounded.
So yeah, I’m looking for anime recommendations that can:
make you feel warm and good inside
possibly make you cry, but not just out of sadness
leave you feeling changed, or at least emotionally fulfilled
Any recommendations would be really appreciated thank you.

Detroit Metal City - MC wanted to be in a Japanese swedish indie pop band, accidentally auditioned for a KISS-like death metal band. Older anime. Comedy/music genre. Funniest shit I've ever seen.
If you want to cry....
The Fated Magical Princess: Who Made me A Princess. Recently saw this one. Really came at me from the left field and blindsided me. Literally every episode is a tear jerker, and I don't cry easy.
It's a romance/drama.
Sad but a lot of good lessons and warm moments.
If you don't want to watch the show, there is a movie that does a good summary of the show.
Haibane Renmei
Frieren
Kotaru Lives Alone
Ranking of Kings
Hajime No Ippo,
GTO
2. Frieren.
Tis Time For Torture, Princess
You don't even need to wait.
Also from what you said with your anime being "Mob pshyco 100" ive been meaning to start it since ive only heard good things. Try HNI for the reasons i just mentioned. "Vinland saga, from what you mentioned this might be your safest option (you wont be the same person after s2). "Monster" This one is kinda risky cuz its pretty dark and not really gonna lift any spirits but its a great watch.
those are the 3 id recommend, if you already watched them then sorry i couldn't be to more help.
A bit more feels but positive and warm, A place further than the universe
Gurren Lagann
Inuyasha
Saint Seiya / Knights of the Zodiac
Additionally I agree with all the others mentioning Frieren. It’s one of the best anime I have ever watched and it’s such a comfort to watch.
Wishing you all the best OP. Hope next year will be more kind to you.
I came across [this](https://www.instagram.com/p/DSPmMLngmhd) ig post recently and completely agree with what he said. One Piece pulls people out of that dark pit and shines light on it.
Food for the Soul
Ruri Rocks
Mushishi
Spice & Wolf
As for warmth... I know I have some recommendations but I need to remember them. I guess my comfort anime's CCS/Tsubasa Chronicles
* K-ON!
* Hidamari Sketch
