Bold of Kaho to think that she could fight Renako on her home turf, the bathroom. But yeah Kaho is just like Renako, doing the "fake it till you make it" thing but more extreme.

My reaction to the near-kiss on the ferris wheel: AHHHHHHH.

And Mai totally set up that date between Mai and Renako as expected, seems she's completely backing out of the race. Totally understandable from Mai's POV seeing Renako's response to Ajisai's confession when Mai has been chasing Renako for months.

Kaho's power comes from her colored contacts... although I couldn't tell a difference in eye color when her contacts were out? So at first I thought she was just tricking Renako into being assertive ~~a top~~, by acting ~~like a bottom~~ shy.

I guess this is the famous finger kiss scene people were talking about being hinted at in one of the PVs before the first season. It was great, but also, my heart hurts for Ajisai the most right now.

I feel the same. But Mai also hasn't gotten that much screentime lately, and maybe my brain has just forgotten what Renako sees in Mai, while being constantly reminded of what she sees in Ajisai. (Context for the future: I haven't finished all the new episodes yet.)

Yeah from what I remember what she likes about Mai is that is takes what she wants and is good at being up front with people about her desires which Renako envies. Initially, I thought Kaho was like that too but now we're learning how that's more of a mask she wears which explains why Kaho likes Mai too probably for the same reason.

Mai embodies everything that Renako looks up to in a person - bold, outgoing, driven, decisive, the list goes on. At the same time, Mai has an excellent read on Renako and knows whenever she starts getting overwhelmed in social situations. Mai is also the first person who accepted Renako's introversion, effectively taking one of the things that Renako was most insecure about and erasing it.

Cosplaying with Kaho has honestly given Renako a lot of insight into her own situation with Mai and Ajisai. She is telling Kaho to go the event even if she doesn't full worthy similar to how Renako herself can't fully accept Mai or Ajisai's love because she doesn't feel confident enough in herself. That's why I feel it's such a great reveal how Kaho has similar struggles with self-esteem despite appearing like a perfect social butterfly. Seeing her work hard despite that makes Renako want to support her and do the same.

And a brief return of Best Girl Mai. Except she’s being way too accommodating with Ajisai. Like, she already wingmanned her to the starting line; she can afford to be selfish and “all’s fair in love and war”. Imo Mai shines the brightest when she’s barreling her way through things with all her might (while keeping boundaries in mind of course).

And... looks like she’s falling on her sword more than I thought. The amusement park date was cute I guess, but it felt a bit bitter without Mai there. And from the post-credits scene, she lacks a bit awareness too, considering how Mai’s usually the first person Renako thinks of when she considers “am I in love”. Or maybe the specific moment was the underwater kiss, so she wouldn’t have been able to see? Well either way, she’s backing out way too easily.

Mai isn’t innocent Kaho she badmouths Satsuki in her face. Renako and Ajisai are the only ones that don’t and that’s because of their insecurities. In real life this reasoning leads to many people doing the opposite though.

I’m already assuming it is not something pure.

Here is the classic bathing scene we get every arc which is the main reason I had to wait to watch these episodes. I know some people in this sub don’t care about who sees them watching scenes like this but I was not going to watch Renako and Kaho bathe with my family. Felt extra validated on that because of how lewd it was, maybe didn’t reach the level of lewd Renako and Ajisai got too but still very lewd. Also after seeing this scene the Megami art for Renako and Kaho either doesn’t make sense or in that scenario Kaho decided to bathe with her contacts.

Just when i’m starting to feel they are really pushing Mai with Renako thinking so much about her they have another kiss tease for Ajisai making her feel like she is the one due to keeping the kiss from happening again.

The bath scene with Renako and Kaho reminded me a lot of the one in episode 12 of Asumi-chan, when Asumi and Nanao bathe together; both moments are quite similar. And the introverted Kaho is adorable. I like her extrovert disguise, but this shy version earned her several points; she went from second to last to second place on my list.

STRAIGHT INTO MY VEINS!!! GIVE IT TO ME. That was amazing, Kaho was so adorable when shy and with glasses, and more Ajisai is always a direct 10/10. I am so amazed over the episodes visual presentation, it's so much more sharper, and well designed than Season 1 and Season 1 look great still as well as having many similar in great animated moments and highlights. But here it really just feels like it all received that treatment and the specific "high point moments" feel even more so
