It's Reze for me.

Queue_Jumping_Quack2026-01-01 14:19

Reze is a cool character, but I'm gonna be voting for Miko all the way.

noctaviann2026-01-01 14:31

I don't have a clear favorite this season, so I guess that I'm going to take it one match-up at a time.

zairaner2026-01-01 15:08

Mangaka cast time!

HereticalAegis2026-01-01 15:19

u/changshiyixia, Aries from *A Wild Last Boss Appeared* is a boy.

changshiyixia2026-01-02 02:34

Thanks, fixed!

cppn022026-01-01 15:21

Guess this is Reze's to lose. Hoping for a strong showing from Scarlet and Tackle though.

HuTaosTwinTails2026-01-01 15:30

Where is Ha san or the rest of the mangaka girls? They absolutely should be nominated.

Having said that.

Miko is best girl of fall.

cppn022026-01-01 15:31

> They absolutely should be nominated.

Then nominate them?

alotmorealots2026-01-01 15:30

I hope Melphie makes at least a little progress, she's a quintessential Best Girl sorta gal.

Usodearu0072026-01-01 15:48

Reze , kris argent and chiramune girls get all my support .

Rosaluna20242026-01-01 15:54

Can’t wait to vote for Scarlet, hopefully she’ll go far 🔥

ZeonTwoSix2026-01-02 02:01

That'll depend on who'll she be facing in the brackets.

Myrkrvaldyr2026-01-01 18:27

Huh? Since when is that word ''controversial''?

N7CombatWombat2026-01-01 18:32

For a long while now, but most famously on Reddit, since the creation of r/goodanimemes, that sub came about because r/animemes banned the word "trap". The controversy is due to the misapplication of "trap" to refer to transgender people and the negative connotation of the idea of what a trap is, something designed to surprise, look like one thing but be another and implies purposeful intent to trick someone else.

Myrkrvaldyr2026-01-01 18:40

So, the word trap was used before in anime contexts to describe characters like Astolfo, Aries, Felix from Re:zero, etc. some day, people thought it was targeting trans, the anime community caught strays and now the word is deemed bad overall. I'd call that unfair.

N7CombatWombat2026-01-01 18:42

It's more like a certain population of people in the anime community and adjacent started using it to negatively refer to the trans community, it's not a hypothetical, it's happened and still happens.

minnieboss2026-01-02 01:46

I want to say that as a trans user on r/anime, I left this sub many years ago because the atmosphere was so hostile with the use of that word. Since I've returned, I've found it a far more accepting environment that keeps me being an active user. Thanks to the mod team!

Nachtwandler_FS2026-01-01 16:48

Nanaka from May I Ask for One Final Thing is in the list twice.

Seems all of the girls I wanted to add are already there, but I will double-check later.

UPD: Added Nukitashi girls and one more character, just because.

ZeonTwoSix2026-01-02 02:00

> Nanaka from May I Ask for One Final Thing is in the list twice.

Hold up; we having an Astolfo moment here?

changshiyixia2026-01-02 02:35

Thanks, fixed!

danlong872026-01-01 16:59

Oh didn't know that movie characters are also able to be nominated, well then, this crown is Reze's to lose (my opinion any way)

CuriousBroccolli2026-01-01 17:02

"Meke sure that the link ends in .png .jpg .jpeg"

How do I do that?

cppn022026-01-01 17:08

By making sure it ends in .png, .jpg or.jpeg.

CuriousBroccolli2026-01-01 17:22

Where are you uploading them? Imgur?

cppn022026-01-01 17:28

Yes. You can do that. Personally I usually just take the MAL profile picture for the character.

CuriousBroccolli2026-01-01 17:30

So just a face allowed, not full body? 🤔

cppn022026-01-01 17:44

You can look at the nominees [here](https://animebracket.com/best-girl-of-fall-2025-seasonal-salt-/characters) and what kind of picture you'd be expected to submit.

biggie_872026-01-01 19:14

Aries from A Wild Last Boss Appeared is a guy

SmallJon2026-01-01 19:21

Ah, I see it is time for us to hate everyone on the server again.

MegaAltarianite2026-01-01 19:22

My favorite characters won't even come close to winning, I'm sure. Not enough people are watching Wandance, but On is my top pick. Iana in Dark History is so chaotic, but again probably not enough attention. Let's Play is underrated too, though I think the best girls in that show don't get really developed til later.

minnieboss2026-01-01 19:54

Hope Fuyumura and Ono from Sanda go far! I'm submitting a few great characters I don't see in there yet, but my favorite of them is Nayuta from Tatsuki Fujimoto 17-26, her episode absolutely destroyed me.

BaytaCosmico2026-01-01 21:23

Want to see my new favourite Hina Youmiya's characters do well in this. Go Wanda! Go Hisui!

cppn022026-01-01 21:44

> Go Hisui!

Hisui was such a ride or die friend! Always love characters like her in romances.

BaytaCosmico2026-01-01 21:52

Yes! I liked the MCs well enough but it was Hisui and the other supporting cast that really made this show for me. Big fan of Kagawa too. Nice counterpoint to Hisui.

Vaadwaur2026-01-01 21:37

Through out Heaven and Earth, Shiori Ouma alone is the honored one.

Emi_Ibarazakiii2026-01-01 22:16

Rooting for SQ and the Sanda ladies!

[](#utahapraises)

They won't make it far (and Reze will wipe up the floor with everyone anyway), but it is what it is!

I only hope that when I **DO** end up watching Reze, I will approve of her victory!

minnieboss2026-01-02 04:22

Question: Are characters from There's No Freaking Way I'll be Your Lover! Unless... \~Next Shine\~ eligible, or does that count as Winter? It released yesterday. (Obviously, only characters who were not in the Summer bracket.)

Zeralyos2026-01-02 05:07

MAL counts it as Winter, so that'd be my first guess.

changshiyixia2026-01-02 06:17

they would be eligible for winter 2026

minnieboss2026-01-02 08:48

Thank you!
