Allow me to expand it more.
"Squid Game" is more or less a duller version of Kaiji. The reasons for this are the following:
The author of Squid Game ripped off content/plots/games from both "Kaiji" and "Kami-sama no Iutori", didn't give credit to either, and admitted to "being inspired" when confronted. He basically didn't write the story you liked, he took it from somewhere else and got money for putting that version on Netflix (nothing wrong with that, of course).
Despite Squid being a clone of Kaiji. Kaiji is still the more fleshed out story. Featuring great comic relief, meta-mind-games, less reliance on violent shock for engagement, and humanizing all the antagonists (often by poking fun at them and showing them cower after being defeated, as opposed to the unflinching terminators in Squid Game).
Kaiji's character designs however are very ugly. People just get used to them over time. It also has no women, it's a sausagefest.
Only thing I know about Kami-sama no iutoori is that Squid Game ripped off an entire game and penalty from ot WORD FOR WORD (again, no credit).
"Kaiji" is an anime about middle aged men giving unprompted lectures on hypothetical psychology and back-and-forth mind games where players actively con their opponents by trying to rig gambling games in their favor without their opponents finding out.
Also, Kaiji LOVES use the "ZAWA" (the "dread" version of the menacing "GO GO GO GO").
If you end up liking Kaiji. The manga is fucking long (and awesome, and with a slice of life arc as well). And the author has also written many other manga with a similar writing style. e.g. a Hobo manga, a Golfer manga, a Mahjong manga, etc.
And that is the end of my non-consensual lecture on Kaiji. You're going to love Kaiji.

Kakeguiri, Tomodachi Game, Kaiji, Alice in Borderland (watch the live action on netflix after the anime), Btoom, Gantz and Darwin's Game.
All of these are basically centered around death games, some are more action oriented, some are more thrillers, some are more violent while others just have bad consequences for losing.

Definitely recommend Kaiji. Squid Games is very much like a live action version of Kaiji. Gamblers trying to clear debt in games where the consequences are brutal.

Not aired yet but the upcoming Liar Game. Which predates Tomodachi Game, which inspired Squid Game.
