What 2025 anime had your favorite background art? (Screenshots appreciated!)

With the r/anime awards nominations starting tomorrow, I always remember at the end of the year that I don't remember the background art from anything I watched this year. The only notable examples I can think of are Dekin no Mogura and City the Animation.

What anime had your favorite background artwork of the year? Got any pictures to share?

City the Animation is a strong contender for sure. Takopi's Original Sin and Lazarus also left a good impression as far as backgrounds go.

Ruri Rocks had gorgeous environmental visuals throughout. Gotta make the rocks look good in the rock show.

Its either [Apocalypse Hotel](https://youtu.be/epz8n8a2Zik?si=5i0p8lfzX2yyUVgV) or [City the Animation](https://youtu.be/ldLdilBkwVg?si=Lldeb4-HSeYpLTt8) for me.

But also want to give [Ruri Rocks](https://youtu.be/OMwjT1llsuk?si=UtjdptYPZUaASyyU) an honorable mention.

An ED isn't going to show the background art in the show unfortunately.
