What kind of anime fan are you?

Hi everyone

As part of my graduation project, I’m working on a topic that’s close to my heart: highlighting and supporting animators and technical staff in the face of working conditions in the industry.

I’ve created a short survey to better understand how you consume anime.
It’s 100% anonymous and it would help me to validate my degree (and maybe even launch the project for real afterward!).

Thank you very much to everyone who will take the time to help me! 🙏

I can't finish it since I can't answer some of the questions. Example.

21. Regarding your player profile, you prefer:

*

Showing it in public to compare myself with others

Keeping it private to myself

Please select an option

I don't have a player profile and I don't play anime games.

Fluffy_data_doges2026-01-01 23:06

I filled it out but basically lied for the game ones as I don't play anime quizzes/games.

Edit: to clarify when I say I lied I answered it as if I played them sort of quizzes.

Emergency-Pick28122026-01-01 23:38

Thanks for your participation 🙏, as Fluffy\_data\_doges said, instead of lying, please answer as if you would play this kind of games

Adrian_Alucard2026-01-01 23:54

>, instead of lying, please answer as if you would play this kind of games

in other words, just lie

Libriomancer2026-01-02 00:15

This basically ruins your data. Without an option to state you don’t play, then there is a chance your data skews horribly off of reality.

Imagine if 70% of answering people don’t play anime games but answer “I would keep my profile private”. Now consider if you got the data from an anime game and they said 2/3 of their users make their profiles public.

You then make a statement that 80% of anime game players keep their profiles private because 70% of non-players and 1/3 of players equals 80%. This is way different than reality.

SaintLarfleeze2026-01-02 01:22

You will get nothing but garbage, misleading data with this mentality. You need to add options for “I don’t play these”

Lraund2026-01-02 03:06

Yeah the survey is bad and has nothing to do about being an "anime fan". Seems like they want to make a quiz game and are just asking questions for that.

I barely do more than watch anime, I don't look up news or follow anything, I just check to see what animes are out and occasionally check reddit.

leftsockstealing2026-01-01 23:39

I don't play any quizzes, but I still get a lot of required questions about these. I would make those questions optional to get better results.

Emergency-Pick28122026-01-01 23:42

Thank you for your participation ! Yeah I understand, but it is better to answer as if you would eventually have to play these kind of game instead of lying.

81Ranger2026-01-02 00:41

It's hard for someone who doesn't play those to think "as if I would".

Also, how is this "lying"?

dude_18182026-01-02 01:44

That is lying though

Emergency-Pick28122026-01-02 08:47

Yeah you're all right, I will exclude all the results from the people who said "no never", so that I could still do something interessant with the datas. Thanks to all of you for helping me ! I also fixed the survey !

level5552026-01-02 01:07

can't progress beyond question 14 (14. Do you enjoy playing anime quiz, trivia or blindtests?) because the questions about trivia games and quizzes are marked mandatory despite selecting that I've never played them

SaintLarfleeze2026-01-02 01:24

This quiz is will provide very poor data at best if you force people to answer 14-22 when they don’t do those things. You need to change this if you want to do anything with your data that isn’t intentionally misleading
