I’ve watched Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer, and Black Clover

I’ve already finished Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer, and Black Clover.
I really enjoy action-heavy anime with strong fights, good animation,
and a solid story.

What anime would you recommend next and why?

My usual battle shonen recs

For a darker setting: Attack on Titan

For a brighter setting: MHA

Sb3ard2026-01-02 02:03

At least MHA starts out bright.

Dangle762026-01-02 02:07

Yeah I wasn’t prepared for how dark some of this shit got

ClemFire2026-01-02 02:12

Some parts did got dark, but overall I would still say it’s overall an optimistic story which I appreciated

Dangle762026-01-02 02:37

Agreed

RichardZuro2026-01-02 01:39

The story isn't too groundbreaking but you'd probably enjoy Solo Leveling

SupperTime2026-01-02 02:17

Animation alone is worth it. Story is generic but executed well.

Less-Lion-10712026-01-02 01:41

Solo Leveling, My Hero Academia, Fire Force, Fullmetal alchemist Brotherhood, Chainsaw Man, Hell's Paradise, Shngri-la Frontier

Those are the best for me!

Dangle762026-01-02 02:07

Solo leveling and FMAB +1

Dirk-D1ggler2026-01-02 02:08

All these are great Shangrila I didn’t care for.

Dangle762026-01-02 02:37

I was watching Shangrila and at some point I just….stopped and forgot about it

Dirk-D1ggler2026-01-02 03:49

Same I got through most of season 1 and it did nothing for me. I think it’s a mix of hating his bird mask and the fact that it’s all in a video game with no real stakes.

Less-Lion-10712026-01-02 08:00

I'm finishing the second season now, I have the same problems as you but I'm convinced that it will always get better, they are laying the foundations for now

burtonborder2012026-01-04 10:38

These 2 were my first animes ever. Solo leveling episode 5 when he kills the hunters and the music hits… omg!!!! I was hooked from there

spoon7189142026-01-02 03:05

Deffffff solo leveling- to me it’s a 10/10

ali941272026-01-02 01:41

Chainsaw Man: Currently one 12 episode season + a canon sequel movie (this is a must watch like Mugen Train).

Sleepykidd2026-01-02 01:41

I mean you did FMA Brotherhood right?

spoon7189142026-01-02 03:06

Another banger

OddBallTheFool2026-01-02 01:45

Attack on Titan

darkj45692026-01-02 01:46

Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. On the Mount Rushmore of anime

HorrorDonut87792026-01-02 01:46

Mob psycho 100: super good animation with amazing fights, also a good story & characters

Cyberpunk Edgerunners: not totally a martial-arts style of fights, but good animation & plot

Such_Money2026-01-02 04:40

MP100 is so good-but I always like to tell people to trust the process with it. It starts out slow and Ive seen people give up on it but holy cow its worth sticking around for

AntDD012026-01-02 01:47

Chainsaw Man and Hells Paradise

DontCareTho2026-01-02 02:53

I second hells paradise (season 2 starts in 9 days I think?)! and also recommend Hunter x Hunter

QunariWithWiFi2026-01-02 01:48

Chainsaw Man

Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood

Soul Eater

Also Samurai Champloo, Psycho Pass, and Dan Da Dan for a slightly different pick but I think you'll enjoy them

Dry-District9372026-01-02 01:49

Bleach I think is a good choice for the new season but it’s probably too old for the first 15 or so, probably something like attack on titan it’s pretty basic but it’s beloved for a reason

Emikzen2026-01-02 02:24

Bleach from the start is pretty good if you skip all the filler arcs. Think its held up pretty well.

Dry-District9372026-01-02 02:51

Oh I love the original animation all the 90s looks and atmosphere are fantastic, but for someone who’s only seen pretty polished shows in terms of their style and look bleach could throw you off at the start

cclmcl2026-01-02 01:49

Magi: Sinbad no Bouken is a really good one imo

LoxodonSniper2026-01-02 02:13

Which then leads them to the other Magis

Emikzen2026-01-02 02:25

Which leads to cliffhangers because they just didnt want to continue on the anime. Very sad.

LoxodonSniper2026-01-02 02:50

Very sad for sure, but still worth it

Bhun_Dawg2026-01-02 01:50

Hunter X Hunter - trust me, you’ll love it!

sheetofice2026-01-02 02:29

We got like 20 episodes and we still don’t know what a hunter actually is.

a-handle-has-no-name2026-01-02 03:23

There are many types of hunters, but they all are searching/hunting for something. Some might hunt for rare gems, criminals, culinary dishes, etc.

Hunters have privileges normal people don't (such as being able to enter other countries without visa or get access to certain information), so the profession is regulated through licenses, requiring them to pass a yearly, difficult test, which is the subject of the first arc of the anime

borninsane2026-01-02 01:51

Def chainsawman after all of those

xdarkskylordx2026-01-02 01:51

Judging by this atmosphere, I guess Chainsaw Man or Hell's Paradise (jigokuraku).

TheMoorNextDoor2026-01-02 01:52

I’d say watch DanDaDan, Golden Kamui, Solo Leveling, Frieren, Attack on Titan, My Hero Academia, Mushoku Tensei, Mob Psycho 100, Hunter x Hunter (2011)

All either modern classics or near classic shows, well worth the watch.

DogbrainedGoat2026-01-02 01:54

Naruto has everything you're after except maybe good animation (in places).

Bronn__Swanson2026-01-02 01:56

Naruto fits all of those desires and then some

lolDankMemes4202026-01-02 01:56

Code Geass,Parasyte or Tokyo Ghoul

Drummer6832026-01-02 01:58

Samurai Champloo. It's a period drama but there's a fight pretty much every episode and the choreography is great. The characters all pop and the soundtrack is stand-out too

witchyelff2026-01-02 01:58

Delicious in Dungeon
Apothecary diaries
Reincarnated as a slime
My hero academia
Dragon ball, z, super, Diama
Dandadan
Hells paradise

eudaemonic6662026-01-02 02:04

Claymore

Nightwish19762026-01-02 02:05

Solo Leveling

kyleyle2026-01-02 02:07

Sounds like you like a typical battle Shonen, so I'll recommend something different but could potentially still meet your interests.

The anime is *86*.

It's mecha sci-fi, character, story and war battle driven. Not your typical mecha anime though. The VA's, story telling, soundtrack, and animation really deliver. There is an element of romance too if that's okay with you.

theworldsucksbigA2026-01-02 02:24

Yu Yu Hakuso, old school cool.

The twelve kingdoms. Another old school.

Blue exorcist. Fight demons.

Kingdom. Physical fights, no magic, historical China (somewhat)

Samurai Champloo. Older. Peak.

Edit: if you like space stuff a number of the Gundam series are fairly good as well. Though dated.

Cthulhar2026-01-02 02:49

Kaiju no 8

naeemc09072026-01-02 02:53

FMAB and HxH, the top 2 shounen/ battle shounen imo by a landslide. Both have very good story and world building with well thought out power systems and plenty of action

TheConboy222026-01-02 03:00

MHA is finished and it was pretty epic. FMA:B is also a fantastic finished story.

magumanueku2026-01-02 03:49

Hunter x Hunter but the 1999 version

BlaQ7thWonder2026-01-02 04:02

Your eyes.

IamAkevinJames2026-01-02 04:21

Bleach Naruto One piece they are known as the big three for a reason. HunterxHunter Yu Yu Hakusho

If battle shonen is your jam in which it seems it might be these should have you set for a while.

Wavenstein12026-01-02 04:22

My Hero, Attack on Titan, Kaiju number 8

Inevitable-Test-35552026-01-02 04:56

Remarkable_Jury37602026-01-06 03:17
