I thought Made in Abyss Hunter was just one movie, but I found out it's a series with several seasons and movies behind it… considering I've already seen the movie I mentioned, how do I watch everything in order to understand the story?

When I saw the movie, I got the impression that there were some unusual scene cuts and continuations, and the ending was unfinished on the second level of the abyss.

I've never heard of "Made in Abyss Hunter" and google results think I'm referring to Made in Abyss. What is this movie you speak of?

I wanted to post a picture but Reddit deleted my post. As I understand it, it came out in 2024, and it was a mistake, it's called Henshu.

I think the first 2 movies are just streamlined season 1, the 3rd is an actual movie, then season 2. and 3. I haven't watched in a while, but I believe that's the order if you're not going to watch season 1 in it's entirety.

Correction of the film's name is Henshu no hunter.

I just looked it up and there is no movie titled Henshu no Hunter. You definitely have the wrong name.

Made in Abyss was originally a series. The series got turned into to 2 recap movies. Then they made a 3rd movie to go between season 1 (either the TV version or the 2 movies) and season 2.
After season 2, they are making several movies as season 3. The first movie comes out in Japan in "early 2026", so don't expect to see it in the USA for at least 6-8 months.

So I can watch the first two compilation movies without missing anything, not even a little bit of the story from season 1?

EconomyProcedure92026-01-02 06:15

I haven't seen those movies, but personally it's always best to go with the longer version if possible. All of it is on Hi Dive in the USA.

No, you should watch season 1, then the 3rd movie (I think, but be sure to double check) and then the 2nd season.
