I can't agree more on Legend of the Galactic Heroes, it's a Masterpiece of space opera genre. But be sure to watch the original series...

* In/spectre - paranormal detective with combat

* Ameku M.D - think of a toned down House as an anime

* Jujutsu Kaisen - a more serious action based anime

* Solo levelling - solid story the whole way through

* Kaiju no 8 - a better take on Kaiju attacks than Pacific rim

* Bartender: glass of god - genuinely good slice of life

Orb: on the movements of earth

Tiger and Bunny (it's kinda stupid, not serious, but it's very much for a middle aged audience)

Spice and Wolf. It's refreshing to see a romance in which the main characters actually act like grown adults throughout.
