It has some cool ideas, but most of the ideas aren't interesting, the writing, especially the antagonists, is not good at all and a lot of things don't really make sense.
The animation can be good, but most of the time it's just passable.
The dialogue is pretty bad, especially the main character's. He is generally one of the weaker parts of an already weak show.
I like shonen and I was decently entertained, but I can't really recommend it if you're looking for quality. I just want to at least try to watch any of those generic battle anime, so that's why I started watching it and it was okay enough to finish.
In the end, I just bounced off of it, despite my best efforts to like it. I haven't looked back since and I don't regret dropping this. Its production values are fine, but everything else was just not for me.
As far as I am aware, the average battle shounen has a generic battle system.
If you want decent power systems (but not perfect) in the meanwhile, there's Hunter x Hunter, Undead x Unluck, and JoJo.
Let's just say that for me pacing ended up being really bad. I could swear that from episode 17 to 19 I saw full length scenes Momotaro team spending their time sitting around in their office talking. Literally sitting around and talking about plot, sure. But why not use those frames to move things along...?. So no wonder I just couldn't get into the final round of battles at the end.
