Magic girl idol death games?

I’ve looked everywhere but nowhere knows why I’m talkin about! I remember an anime about little girls, they’re wearing bombs on their necks and they’re competing on a huge, circular tan colored stage in front of thousands of people to become Idols with the most popularity votes and if they have the least at the end of the round they die. I remember two girls being best friends all the way up to the end and they think they can win together and then they find out they can’t. Is it real??? What’s it called???

No they were younger and it was definitely an anime, i remember the scene with them both crying and I think one of them has blue hair and she’s all “we’re going to get out of this, together-“ and then like her popularity point goes up by one more vote than the other girl and her head explodes…

ZLS is not a death game, it's an idol show where they happen to secretly be zombies. Doesn't match the OP's description in the slightest.
