Anime or manga where MC is kicked out of party because he deserve it?
Theme "Kicked out of the party" is in recent years in my opinion a little overused, MC is always good person and his former party is jerks. I'm currious if there is any anime or mange where MC is kicked out the party because he was a bad person? Like he was good in his role in the party, but maybe getts in the fight with the rest of the team. Or he had secret romance with partner of hero, cheating behind his back. Or do something evil or illegal and has to face consequences?
It is pretty boring for me, that in almost every type of this stories MC is never in wrong, it is always fault of the former party.

Theres probably a 100 more of these in Light Novel form that will get adaptations some day so maybe we'll see something original and not just the same cookie cutter template over and over.
The only thing I can really think of that somewhat fits the bill is Chilling in My 30s but its really not what you're asking for and divulging further would be a spoiler
Then he goes back to his old friends and their party, and while they are somewhat competent, he’s still far above them. He’s basically A rank in swordsmanship and support magic, and S rank or higher in attack magic. And for someone who’s a former court magician, for some reason it feels like he uses the sword a lot more than magic
Another one I know of is **Ningen Fushin** where the main characters are sort of bums in some sense, they got kicked out of parties cus they weren't doing shi or they got cheated on etc. Its really more about how a gang of losers got together and found out they can be a party together some ground rules is to not to get interested in another persons private life and not to question their intent.
Sorry I couldn't be much of a help but those 2 animes that I watched are the best I could come up with similar to what u wanted
Ningen Fushin is pretty good though, it just... Really doesn't look good, unfortunately. But I really like the way it's written.
And, while the party fell apart in his absence, it was mostly because he wasn't present to smooth over social issues, rather than the party suddenly losing to weak opponents because the MC was secretly OP.
* MC have some kind of utilize skill that's seemingly weak/useless.
* Kicked out of the party
* Joins another party that's all girls
* Turns out that MC is actually using said skill in an unorthodox way and was the reason why their old party was so strong and MC is super OP
* Old party falls apart and may have hired a replacement for MC with a similar skill set who tells them just how OP MC actually was
This is how the vast majority of the Banished-trope series goes and usually this is where the story falls apart because the author have usually no idea how to progress the series after.
I was also watching Let This Grieving Soul Retire and Krai is also basically the team's Sokka, especially in the Light Novel info where it's revealed his advice was what gave his teammates their potential. Just one example, Sitri was the weakest member of their group and didn't even have magic potential and was worried she would hold them back, but Krai encouraged her to get into alchemy because he saw she loved reading and was very intelligent.
The methods may differ a bit though. A lot easier to "forage" for a party of 6 than 6000.
All the same to an army on the march.
I feel that it doesn’t focus on a lot of the things that made S1 great, like the romance, the chill vibes, catching up on relationships, and the intrigue and drama from S1.
(add to 400 other shows on my PTW..)
I compare it with Let this Grieving Soul Retire, which used the same repeated joke (MC doesn't know what's happening, but things work out), but always ensured that that wasn't the end of the joke (outside of the first couple of times), it was always a set up for another character to react to it, which was then the joke, or the set up to the next joke.
I could imagine in that world if you were infinite in one skill but you perceived everything you did under that skill you would be broken.
"I'll be right back."
just didn't know their own strenght.
But maybe the best abandoned by his friends and he's an awful person anime is [Overlord](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhlBqFj9kDw). He's on his favorite online game when it shuts down but none of his in-game friends/party members show up, so he's alone before being isekaied into the game setting. He was part of an hardcore evil-themed PvP guild playing a high-powered undead character and becomes that in the fantasy setting, and he and his minions engage in Nazi-level evil in the fantasy world. He becomes so bad and casually cruel, I stopped watching it because I felt like I was watching a fantasy anime version of Triumph of the Will.
Your Overlord synopsis is a bit misguided, one player showed up but everyone else besides him just moved on from the game. It's not much of a "abandoned" trope.
As for Overlord, from what I remember, at the very end, he was in the game alone when the game was shut down. I could be wrong about the details but other than the sycophant NPCs he's surrounded with, he was left alone by the other players. I'm not a huge Overlord fan (I stopped watching it) and only recommend it when it roughly meets someones ask criteria. If OP is sick of good MCs and wants an evil MC, I'm not sure one can top Overlord for that.
It is entirely a different kind of story and motivation.
Also momonga become evil due to influence of the NPCs and his undead trait
On a side note has anyone see this Chillin' in My 30s After Getting Fired from the Demon King's Army. Pulled on some heart strings.
They usually like to tell a story of a loser being removed from a group or company that was originally thought to be great. Then the MC grows stronger and more skilled on their own volition or with another company in order to PROVE that the original group was wrong in the first place. This is just a revenge story in another sense at the end of the day.
Understanding that, you probably know why there are no series that intentionally depicts their MC in a bad light and the party's action to remove them is justified. Because why would they? Who would watch that kind of stuff? The target audience like to put themselves in the place of the MC and no one wants to be seen in a bad light.
Except for one series that was already mentioned here that deliberately used this troupe as a plot point instead of just a revenge story. The anime is "I Got a New Skill Every Time I Was Exiled, and after 100 Different Worlds, I Was Unmatched". I'm actually really excited for this to come out as it's somewhat to mock fun of this repetitive troupe after so long
And because works with a large readership can be marketed as "a hit with this many readers" when seeking sponsorship, they have a better chance of being adapted into anime than original anime with only a proposal.
Ironically, as a result, there's been an increase in stories in recent years that continue on with unrelated plots, apart from an opening section created to attract readers with a title.
I see some good suggestions in the comments, but the main part of why you have to ask about this in the first place is that a lot of publishers think like I wrote above, sadly. It’s the only explanation I have of the abundance of these kinds of stories with similar settings. A lot of people read manga or watch anime to escape the real world and when doing that, who would want to watch something horrible when you can be coddled into good feelings. I ironically understand the feeling and while I am incapable of inserting myself as any character, I mainly watch no stakes series because I am deeply tired and anxious about life in general. Knowing that nothing will go wrong is strangely comforting.
Arguably Redo of Healer is basically the hat you want, except it’s not about being banished from a party. But man oh man is the MC evil. I haven’t watched it yet because of the above, but I do enjoy a good story about evil villains.
