To be fair, there are several episodes that doesn't involve murders. Like that Earthquake shrine case, or that episode where a guy attempted to rob a house by feeding a guard dog with poison. Most of those episodes are where Conan was with the kid detectives instead of the usual group with Kogoro and Ran

There are more episodes with multiple homicides than ones without, so Conan solves more homicides than occur annually in Japan (912 murders vs 1180 episodes of conan).

Tbf though out of the 1187 episodes 554 are anime original filler episodes. so almost 50% (\~46,6%) of the Anime is simply filler cases that does not progress time and move the plot or story forward. But yeah I believe if you go by canon( aka just the manga cases) around bit more than just half a year has passed in the main story and it's funny seeing inconsistencies like them going from using pay phones and flip phones to having smartphones now in newest cases.
