What, in your opinion, makes an isekai good or not?

Truck good. No truck bad

The Vision of Escaflowne is like the grand daddy Isekai
Log Horizon - but it's annoyingly incomplete - Sword art online isn't really isekai all the time
Death March to a Parallel World Rhapsody - little mid, but good filler, and has a season 2
Reincarnated as a sword - also has a season 2 coming
....I can probably think of more, but would help to know what you think is 'good'
EDIT also if you can deal with being a little (basically Hentai) spicy - Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World is a good power fantasy Isekai, but with wholesome sex slaves

"Ascendance of a Bookworm" in case you haven't seen it.
Isekai generally are just amateur Literary-RPG power fantasies, often with harems and overly kind members of the opposite sex.
You're looking for water in an empty well.

Underrated kino isekai list:
- Meikyuu Black Company
- Reincarnated as a Sword
- Trapped in a Dating Sim
- Villainess 99
- Instant Death Cheat Skill (this one is actual peak isekai slop, I kneel in its presence, they got so many hilarious VAs even for the instantly-dying spot roles)
In case you missed it:
- Cautious Hero
- Log Horizon
Also Yuusha ga Shinda isn't isekai but it's a great fuckin show
