Hi myselfvsworld, it seems like you might be looking for new anime to watch!

The users of this subreddit came up with [a chart of anime recommendations for newcomers and veterans](https://i.redd.it/0w1v880jtq661.png) and [an awesome longer flowchart](https://i.redd.it/vdzlkodz19c71.png). Maybe you can find something there that you'll like \^.\^

You might also find our [Recommendation Wiki](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/wiki/recommendations) or [daily thread](/r/anime/search?q=flair%3Adaily&restrict_sr=on&sort=new&t=week) helpful.

There's nothing lame in being new.

That said, you have a lot of catching up. There's lots of good anime out there.

I'm pretty partial towards "Dungeon Meshi".

sisconking1322026-01-03 20:54

What genres do you like?

myselfvsworld2026-01-03 21:50

im not sure because i haven’t watched this much, but among those that i watched i loved death note
if we’re talking about cinema i love horror, detective and drama movies

sisconking1322026-01-03 22:00

Yes. The genres are the same in anime as other media, just with some unique subgenera and tropes.

sisconking1322026-01-03 22:01

I would Recommend The Mystic Archive of Dantalian or Gosick. Those definitely fit the mystery genre.

For Horror, Another and Shiki are classics.

thx a lot!

Significant-Tree47522026-01-03 21:03

No problem, we were all new once.
If you ask me for recommendations I'd recommend watching gurren lagann or Vinland Saga somehow I liked goblin slayer but you also you might like Demon slayer.
