Help me find this anime about a little girl bought up by friends and her mother dies.

It's not the bigger part of the story, but all i remember is, that the lady was pregnant and one of the friends was in love with her. And then when the child is born, they all look after the baby and mother. And later the mother, I think dies, and the guys keep on looking after her.

I forgot the major part of the anime. But this is all i remember.

It's also not a happy anime. It's a grim one.

I might be off-base, but kind of sounds similar to the start of [Yona of the Dawn](https://myanimelist.net/anime/25013/Akatsuki_no_Yona)? (definitely not just on the mind since they announced a continuation or anything)

If it isn't that one, then it would be helpful if you could give any more details about the setting/time period. Was it modern, or historical/fantasy?

More details would be, that guys like the mother because she gave each of them their own special tools (small equipments used for construction work I think). I can't pin point the settings period much. And when the mother dies, and guys look after her, they use those tools to get things done around their living space.
