New to anime — looking for recommendations!

Hi everyone! I’m pretty new to anime and wanted some recommendations 😊
So far I’ve finished Inuyasha, Death Note, and Hell’s Paradise, and I’m currently watching Hunter x Hunter. I’ve also heard Attack on Titan is really good, so I’m thinking about starting that next.

I’m open to any suggestions—action, dark themes, emotional stories, or anything you think is a must-watch for someone still getting into anime. Thanks!

I second this. But once you finish AOT, youll need a break. From anime, tv, just life. From someone whos been watch anime for 20 years, i think its the only anime i call a masterpiece (and my favorite anime is Naruto and Inuyasha, i used to own Tessaiga)

If you can wait weekly for new episodes, Sentenced to be a Hero just dropped an absolutely mind-blowing 1st epsiode.

It's dark fantasy which sounds like something you might like.

If you're into primordial Eldritch evil, you could try either "The Summer When Hikaru Died" (melancholic mystery) or "Made in Abyss" (orchestral soundtrack + action/adventure).

Frieren beyond journeys end

All of these are available on 1 service (crunchyroll) and most will be continuing this year. And you can also use less legal methods of watching them

I would recommend to watch “Attack on Titan” and after that “Vinland Saga”. But don’t stick to that kind of genre. I highly recommend watching romance anime to. I always thought that they where lame and cringe, but a friend of mine forced me to watch “Rascal does not dream” (don’t stop watching if you find the first episode cringe or something like that) and since then I really like to watch Romance anime from time to time. An Anime that I also highly recommend is “ the garden of sinners”. I’ve never heard anybody talk about it before, but it’s a really really good mystery Anime. Sorry for that hell of a text

Oh and if u have problems with thinks like suicide don’t watch Garden of Sinners. It’s one of the few series where I understand the age limit of 18

What made you watch those four specifically?

I suggest count of monte christo since it has a compelling story based on the book by the same name. It is pretty dark and unique.

My number one recommendation for series is Frieren. Because it does true fantasy better than any other anime. The combat is phenomenal and it’s not even close to the best part of the show. Other amazing series that you may not hear mentioned are Parasyte and Shin Sekai Yori (trippy but worth it)

And if we’re watching movies you MUST start with Princess Mononoke and Akira, and then any/all of the other Ghibli movies. For action, Sword of the Stranger, Legend of Hei 1 and 2.

"Gushing over magical girls" is a great anime with many action aspects.
"Elfen Lied" is a great anime too but can be a bit brutal.
