This is basically just a longer episode of the series, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. Everything that's great in the main series is also great here too. The characters are incredibly lovable and interesting and the action is engaging and fun. Of course because it's a movie instead of a tv series the animation is of a substantially higher quality. The higher quality visuals are omnipresent and obvious throughout the entirety of the movie, but there's a few select moments when it especially stands out, such as the dogfight towards the middle of the film, and Yor's battle with one of the main antagonists towards the end, also the final scene in the movie too. I think my favorite moment in the movie is an unsung one, but it's when Anya is comedically screwing with the villains who are holding her hostage and need her to go to the bathroom to pass something that they want that she ate, it's hilarious. But Yor's big epic fight is great too, even though thematically I don't know for sure if there was really a major point to it beyond the fact that Yor didn't have any huge fights in the movie up to that point and fans would have been disappointed if there was none. And it was exciting either way, so I'm not complaining honestly. I do question how Loid and Yor are not suspcious of the each others secrets after they both somehow showed up on the same military vessel for essentially the same reason but obviously separate from one another.
